Disconnect from wifi and still use CarPlay?
Hi! New to the X7 forum. My AT&T trial data plan just exceeded the 3G limit. Since my iPhone is still connected to the car's wifi, I needed to switch over to cellular data to surf the web again. If I "forget" the car's wifi SSID, will I still be able to use CarPlay and OTA updates? I assume I can do both without renewing the AT&T data plan but wasn't. Thanks!

At worst, tell it to forget the car's at&t wifi, disable the wifi service for your car, kill the carplay pairing, and re-pair it. The whole thing should take a matter of minutes, and yes you can still push the OTA updates via the bmw connect app. I just did this and I haven't started my wifi subscription
