Anyone try 275/50/21 tires instead of 285/45/21?

I can get a set of 275/50/21's in winter treads for much less than a 285/45/21 which is the recommended winter tire for the X7 M50i. The 275's are obviously 10mm narrower but are .7" bigger in diameter and could cause rubbing issues.

I thought I'd try and take a stab to see if anyone has tried the 275/50/21's.

maybe try a 255 or 265 in the 50 series

Here are the plus and minus size calcs.

275/50R21 would result in a 2.4% increase in overall size - affecting speed calc and AWD drivetrain.

255/50R1 would be the closest with -0.01%.
