X7 M50i is built and awaiting carrier assignment
I placed and order in late July for an X7 M50i in Tanzanite Blue II that I am anxiously awaiting. It's been listed as awaiting carrier assignment for over a week. My dealer said it could come this week or by the end of the month. Seems like a wide range. Anyway, I hope it comes soon!

that range likely means there's a 2 week load interval for them and a 3-4 day travel time ending with a 1-2 day sorting and inspection at your local dealerships.
obviously I'm spitballing this. Imagine waiting for the bmHippos to ship from SC to california. For once I'm glad I didn't order it and managed to find one that matched my desired spec 1:1. Real pain? I ordered my 135i, a couple months later it shipped from Germany. Obsession: I watched the live camera feed of the ship going through the Panama Canal and made a gif of it. That shipment period isn't bad at all to the east coast, but HILARIOUS when you're over here itching to drive

Seems hard to believe

Seems hard to believe that vehicles would sit around Spartanburg for two weeks before being dispatched. |

the qx is DEFINITELY a beluga whale.
male hippos weigh in around 4k lb, so it isn't a perfect comparison, but they're bulky, weirdly agile when they want to be, and they have a pretty good, classic, christmas song regarding letting them sit around for a couple weeks: I'm figuring alternating shipments for each primary region, but definitely sending them out in batches for each region--it just makes sense logistically.

I guess it varies when the order is placed and more over where you are in the country. I had my order for a 21 m50i places on the 9th of August. Car sat at spartansburg max 3 days waiting to be shipped. Car hit the ground at my dealership last Friday believe it or not but were waiting on the mso. Which they just got yesterday. That does happen at times where the car get in before the paperwork from the factory. So they couldn’t deliver it to me. I’m picking it up today in this glorious rain here on Long Island. I’ll post pics when I can. But mine was like a little over 3 weeks from order to build and at dealer. Very very fast to say the least.

Your going from a boat to a sports car! Just wait until you put it in sport mode and push it. Your not going to want to drive anything else. Its amazing how agile a large vehicle can be.

Just saw that mine is also on the way up to NY! It's as if they're reading our comments.

My car was showing Awaiting Carrier Assignment Sunday or Monday of this week. Kind of surprised it sits in Spartanburg that long. My dealership is in Fayetteville, NC, just of I-95.
