X7 40i Spacers

I have the x7 40i with the 21" wheels. What spacers would be nice to put on the wheels tires? Would there be any issues with just putting spacers on the rear?

Would like to know as well. Also would spacers from another BMW work such as an E90?

I don’t think so. BMW changed to 5x112 bolt patten recently.

I haven't done 21" yet since all my customers have 22" on their X7.
But, based on my calculation, 11mm or 12mm all around for nice and clean setup. 15mm all around for aggressive setup, best if lowered.

Won't fit. Bolt pattern and center bore are different.

Out of curiosity, based on your experience with the X7, which size spacers provide the best "flush" look - 12mm or 15mm? I have the 21" wheels, which is a non-staggered setup, unlike the customers with 22" wheels that you have done previously...

Depending on what height are you at.
Comfort height, 12mm.
Sport height or lower, 15mm.

Understood that your 21" is non staggered, but the width and offset falls at very similar wheel position.

Not looking to get spacers, but seems you know a ton about the wheels on our X7s. I'm looking to get some aftermarket wheels and I'm running 22s right now...755M Cerium.

I want to stay with 22s, but want to ensure stock tires fit and get the best width/offset I can...don't necessarily want/need to stay OEM specs.

What would you recommend for sizing...also I'm looking at HRE or Vossen wheels.

And if I did 21s due to cost of tires, what would be the best size/offset...can you do staggered 21s?

Thx

Can I just install on the rear axle only? Would there be any performance or ride quality issues.

Indeed it would.
Too bad they don't offer custom offset like Vossen.

You can. It is your preference.
Just it will looks funny with the rear pushed out more than the rear.

Id love to see some spacers on the stock 21s.

living in the north east, the 22s are worth it because of the summer tires..

Hi picking up my new X7 on Saturday and wanted to add some wheel spacers.

It comes with 22" wheels so would 15mm all round be ok.

Would the existing wheel bolts be long enough on 15mm Hubcentric spacers?

Thanks Greg
