EGR system problems? fault code 290900 or P115d
Hello everyone
I have problems with my BMW F34 318d N47 engine. 290900 - Air system, Air to Egr mass flow, plausibility : measured air mass compared with calculated air mass too high. Last year was replaced the egr valve, egr cooler, dpf was cleaned, lambda sensor changed, intake manifold flaps changed and cleaned. The light is still appearing. I connect the car with ISTA diagnostics, and find several possible faulties. The EGR position shows always 0.00% and EGR cooler temperature always 40.96? EGR valve works good in diagnostics checks, maybe the fault is in electricity? In diagnostics checks of Bypass flap/EGR cooler it shows that bypass flap is not functioning, where i can find this bypass flap? Did someone had similar problems and fixed it? Please for help! Thanks! |

I am working on my cousins 2014 F31 328d with the N47N. My codes are similar, but with my calculated air mass too low. Code - 290B00
Is this possibly an issue with the EGR valve or is it that carbon buildup in the EGR cooler assembly is causing a malfunction? I have no permanently stored P codes or pending P codes. These are advanced diagnostics codes that are coming up. My assumption is that the EGR cooler assembly needs to be replaced, Part#: 11717823210 Do we need to replace this unit or clean it out? One last thing, this car does randomly registered the Drivetrain malfunction reducing power output (limp mode). Thank you!
