That surprises me. I did not spend more than a few hours on any X-car so my perception may be too high level, but sitting on an X4M a few weeks ago I could not tell there was a difference in quality compared to my 4-series, which I consider to be very good.
Let's put it this way. My first X3M Comp was bought back by BMW NA.

My second is starting to peel paint on the bumpers and rear spoiler.

Rattles galore and interior components such as ambient lighting have fitment issues.

Overall I love the vehicle, having a hard time getting past the headlights though.

Hi,regardless of where the X's are manufactured they're all built by robotics. If you watch the videos on YouTube of the builds , it's amazing on how it's done. I've worked on job's at GM and Ford while retooling the plants as an electrician and a lot of work goes into it . Regardless of what country there're built in , they use the same robots to do this . The only difference would be is how well trained the person representing the robotics company is with their product and there training . If you live in the U.S.A. of course you're going to be proud of the product being made here. I guess what I'm saying is the only difference there would be is in the quality control areas and the company liaison's who are the go between on the job's. In this day and age a lot of Countries contribute parts to all automobile's and not many autos have parts made and assembled in that country. Just like any other business, people are going to have good days and bad days in the QC department and technical areas .Most auto plants in the US are Union Organized and from what I know, most are proud of the product that they are making .I love my X3 and I'm happy that BMW has created so many American jobs and has taken the opportunity to build there SAV's here ! Just my Two Cents .

Roughly 70% of X line vehicles are exported from the States.

Not debating the term and more interested if there is data on the percentage of parts coming abroad, yet

The US plant is a leading plant in making X7s. If I am correct, it is the only BMW plant globally making new 2023 right now.

Lots of jobs with advanced technology are created here. BMW did an amazing job in the Spartanburg plant.

I am so proud this vehicle is manufactured in the US!

Same issue here, my X7 they used touch up paint on the rear bumper cover in plain site, about 0.3 inch in length. I have had a few X vehicles and this was the first time I had the experience.

How difficult was PCD scheduling? Were they flexible with dates and how quickly could you do it?

That sounds like a dealer move, not factory unless you picked up in SC

This vehicle is completely made in America aside from the engine.

This dealership takes specific pride in that because the nearby steel mill is the primary supplier to Spartanburg
Yep, all the parts that are made in the USA are made in the USA. 😀

Unlikely. I am a long time customer. I worked the with the detail team to remove all wrappings. During that time I discovered it. Either way we lodged a case with BMW and the dealer fixed it for me

This plant is really a good reason to be proud. Hope to visit it someday and would really like to have something like that in my own country.

Nice! My wife wants one similar to this. Isn't this extended merino ivory leather? I see white leather as if it's full merino leather. I thought only Ivory White/Atlas Grey was available in full leather???

The best part about being assembled in America is jobs and local economy. Second best part is it only takes 6-8 weeks to order and take delivery!!
