These links go to the 2 series model. Anyone have the correct links to the 2021 X7? Thanks!

Interesting, that BMW configurator in Switzerland still offers Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE). Without even knowing about this topic (2020MY v 2021MY) I placed an order on 27 July and it reflects RSE according to the status update print out showing next week as a production week.

Dealer did not hear anything contrary from the factory, saying RSE is in. Hope it stays in when I receive X7 in Sep-Oct (takes some time to get it delivered). Otherwise would be disappointing, just got an X5 with RSE and it is a very well-built and functioning system. Kids are happy.

BTW, X5 configurator in Switzerland does not allow adding RSE any longer (but for X7 does)

Just one more way, that for some reason, USA gets options removed that the rest of the world has available.

In the US, the 2021 X7 order guides (including the XB7) state they are Manual rear sunshades. Yet another odd deletion for the X7 by BMW but it may come down to supply-chain issues due to COVID-19. Anyones guess.

It is electronic not manual. That's always been an error in all the X7 yearly guides.

How do you know? Is your X7 a 2021?

Thanks for clearing that up. Even the order guide for the XB7 states they are manual. How does BMW miss that twice?

No I have a 2020 but it also said manual in the 2020 guides and mine is electric. I believe the 2019 also said manual.

Ours is a 2019 and they are powered so it seemed odd that BMW would not offer powered sun shades when they were already engineered for the X7. Someone at BMW needs to correct the order and pricing guides.

Yeah they really need to because it was confusing. Basically if you have the 417 then it's electric and not manual. I went back and double checked the 2020 docs...

In the 2020 ordering guide:
417 Rear manual side window shades
In the 2020 pricing guide:
417 Rear electric side window shades

This is something that has, for some strange reason, repeatedly been posted by BMW over the last several X7 model years. And yet, I don't think ANY X7 has ever been produced with manual rear shades.

That's been the argument for members considering X7 xDrive40i since launch.

For USA market, it wasn't and hasn't been available for the xDrive40i. 5AZ was available for previous 50i with ZPX Executive Package and is standard on M50i.

It isn't the case for international markets, where 5AZ Icon Adaptive LED Headlights with Laserlight is available across all engine options.

Very odd BMW hasn't corrected this on their pricing and order guides. I was looking at the window sticker of 2021 X7 and it still lists manual rear shades. Go figure.

Can anyone confirm that the MY2021 X7 40i has electronic side sunshades? Either standard or with any of the packages? Thank you
