I have Esys Launcherpro working with E-NET Cable. Just need support to activate Apple Carplay. Support to code will be appreciated. I was told iDrive7 needs FSC Code enabling for Apple Carplay unlike iDrive 5/6 which can be done easily.

Carplay FSC codes were used for development purposes only. But, some smart people reverse engineered how to generate them and patch head units to accept them.

I know some that managed to develop solution to enable Video In Motion. But, they are still trying to figure out how to create FSC set for new hardware (HU_MGU).

It is all about what options are ordered. Unless, Carplay is not offered in your region; then, it would be strange for some cars to arrive with it.

Hi jokinawa, unfortunately i don't have 00002742 CAFD in my car's DME_BAC2, but there is 000029B7 and it has the TCM_MSA_MEMORY as well.

By changing from OFF to ON, Start/Stop memory works as expected.

I just finished coding my 2018 I3 and tried to do the same in the 2020 x7 and can't edit the NCD. I have the latest PZData files and selected the S18A option..but something is not working for me...any ideas?

Don Juan I'm just a newbie but shouldn't be the icon next to CAFD green? (right after loading them) In my case when it's grey it seems like a some kind offline mode and it won't load my CAFDs for edit even despite they are in the folder.

Love my I3s for every day use (2nd one and just order my 4rd I3 :-) ). But for long drives and hauling the family of 6 nothing beats the x7...

It does not mess up Launcher Pro. You simply remove and install 3.33. If you need link for 3.33, PM me.

You can't use 2.8.2 to FDL code the G07.

However, if you have 8TR in you FA, then you can simply use esys alone to remove it from your FA and then VO Code hu_mgu, SASx and BDC (7083)

Can you please elaborate on the last line... I don't understand 8TR, FA and VO code. any sample videos or instructions ? I am only looking to enable auto lane change.

So I went in with that setup after "refreshing" my E sys install and updating to the latest PSDZ data files I could find. But I had errors reading the coding data for some of the ECUs, others read just fine. So either the software in my X7 is too new (it is 7/2020.35) or my E-sys with launcher pro is not mapped properly...

Thoughts..?

When you say errors do you mean when reading the ECU esys wouldn't generate ncd, or do you have trimmed codes in some of the ECU's?

What version of launcher pro and what version of psdzdata?

Are you trying to VO code or fdl code

No trimmed codes that I know of, I just received an error message screen that popped up when trying to read some ECUs prior to attempting any FDL coding - other ECUs were read without issue. I did not attempt to VO code anything due to having some errors when reading some of the ECUs. My reason for dusting off my E-Sys setup was because I wanted to do a bit of VO coding....

Yeah thats not going to work for FDL coding at least.

You need latest psdzdata 4.25.21 for FDL and VO Coding with 07/2020.x i-step,

To FDL code you will need latest esysx (Sept 2020). If you dont want esysx, LP 3.7 (latest publicly available) might work if you can get hold of a licence from TM, but there will be trimmed codes in some of the ECU.

If you just want to VO Code, then I'd use esys 3.34.0 and latest psdzdata as stated. Don't bother with a launcher.
