Yes! Finally! Perfect. This is what I'm getting. Still cheaper than the OEM 21" Winter set up and you get to keep your 22s!

I tried the swapping tires out thing and it was the worse . Once I wore out one tire set I switched to a second set of wheels/tires and never looked back. It's murder on the wheels to keep doing that twice a year in my experience to the same wheels. Eventually someone will damage the wheel finish. Plus, I can make the call when I want to switch over and I'm not struggling with available appointments to get them swapped out and balanced at the tireshop/dealer. I just swap them in my garage. On top of that there is the cost factor which to me is still less than the hassle factor. Just not worth it overall in my opinion.

Completely agree with you. I've been doing exactly that for about 6 years now but grew tired of swapping summer/winter sets out each November and April. At the same time, I've never had a wheel damaged at my dealer in over a decade (they are pretty good/careful with wheels) when getting fresh tires.

That's why I'm considering running 22" winter and just swapping rubber. I will definitely have to consider the wear and tear for sure as I've never done that before either. Also, even here in NE Pennsylvania, we only get 4-5 significant snow dumps per year so they wouldn't necessarily be trailblazing on packed snow so the despite the 22" being bigger/wider, I may consider.

Good point on being able to swap out a dedicated setup on my own time though, that's a great point especially in this post-covid world where things can just suddenly stop around you.

Didn't even think about the COVID aspect... but so true

Scenario..you have winters on or summers and the season changes and for some reason dealers/tire shops are closed this will be you on the road haha:

I have an X6 M50i that has the black 22" wheels that I bought for my wife to replace her 2017 X6 with the 3.0 I like it so much that I ordered an X7 M50i for myself with the 22" wheels to replace my 2016 QX80 that also has 22's.

With the QX, I just run Michelin all seasons and am fine in the snow in Western PA. My wife likes winter treads and I might need them too since I won't be able to get all seasons. So I see that there is a winter tire that is $2,381 for a set of 4! I'm more inclined to get a set of winter rims/tires for each vehicle rather than spending $4,762 on tires alone. Then at least I'll have something to sell (rims) when I'm done.

I have a hobby garage with a two post lift so swapping wheels is easy. I looked at getting my own tire machine and balancer but it's too expensive. I have a a lot of cars but don't drive many of them much so it's hard to justify. My local tire shop screws up my tires/rims every time. Put one runflat on my C63s mixed with three non run flats (makes for an interesting ride as in the rear kicked out unexpectedly at random times), cross threaded two wheel bolts, scratched the inside of the rim, put the staggered X6 wheel set up on backwards not one but twice, etc.

The problem I am having is where to get OEM wheels for each car? I called my dealer and he said they are unavailable right now and to check back in the fall. Not very encouraging. I'd like a 20" or 21" rim for each one.

Thanks but I already have those wheels and am not interested in winter treads for them. I’m going to install a set of 20’s.

Dragging up an old thread here, What's everyone's experience with putting their full set of four X7 wheels in the trunk, with the 2nd row up (or captain's chairs)? Can fit?

I ask, as I may be about to buy and drive an X7 from the lower 48 up to Alaska, and need to know if I buy a set of winter wheels on delivery, if I can put my summers in the trunk to bring home. Will be getting captain's chairs.

I have captains chairs. Had to take the second set of 22” wheels to the shop to mount summer tires. They were in boxes, without tires, and all 4 fit

Damn'it! I was hoping to keep this a secret until I ordered mine. Only ten sets available in total through TireRack. Production has ended and will not resume until late January early February.

Much appreciated, and that's promising news. Anybody do it with wheels and tires?

I've posted this elsewhere it I just love this combo. 20"MSW TYP 49 with non run flat Blizzaks. (I like to live dangerously). $2200 mounted and balanced with TPMS from Tirerack. I haven't mounted them yet. One more month.

OEM at the 22" TYP 757's

On that page, it specifically lists the BMW OEM part number for this package as: 36-11-2-462-586

And yes, they are most definitely all black, no inserts or additional parts beyond the center roundel cap.

Hey all — I’m selling my X7, and so these BMW OEM 752 black wheels on Bridgestone Blizzaks are for sale. Used just one season (only a couple thousand miles), practically new, and I’ll even sell them with a set of BMW M sport wheel covers. PM me with any interest.
Otis

Quick update: First buyer backed out, so these are available again. Looking for $2k-$2500 total (paid around $4k total last year). These are mint, only a couple thousand miles on them, have TPMS, and available. Purchased from Rallye BMW in Long Island. Please shoot me a PM if any interest. I'm based in Long Island, NY. First one to send payment, or show up with cash, gets 'em!

Can I use the OEM 20 inch wheels from a 2019 X5 for winter tires on a X7 with the M sport brakes?

Still not sure I made the right decision here but I ended up getting the Pirelli Scorpion Winter RFT for my 22" Style 758i wheels in OEM sizes 315/35 and 275/40. Set my tire swap appointment for November 12th.

Worst case I swap the rubber 2 or 3x. Best case I double-down and buy the 22" Style 785M Jet Black M Performance summer set.

Hoping the winter performance is on par with the 21" 754M on Blizzaks winter set!!!

I am planning to buy these and put them on the OEMs 758. Has anyone done the same? I lease and have wheel insurance so less worried about swapping the tires twice a year. Have historically owned a dedicated winter wheel and tire set up but am debating here.

Also, any concerns with using 22s for the winter? I've always used a smaller wheel.

I have 22" wheel son the RRSC and no issues or complaints however a narrower and smaller diameter tire will give you more sidewall and perform better.
