Wondering if this is normal, or maybe it’s because I have an individual interior? 24 M60i I got an allocation for a few weeks ago. I still don’t have an official build date. It says order received in My Garage. When I first called they gave me a “tentative” week 18 build, and now they’re saying “tentatively” April 16, which would be week 16. How long is normal to be in status 111? It seems like most others I’ve seen get a scheduled date right away. I’m just excited!

You are in 112 not 111. It is my understanding that production switches over in April. At some point in time it will switch to 150, then u know it’s really in production. I am sitting in112 also. Read this for various status codes https://www.bmwofturnersville.com/ma...shop%20started

Hi guys,
First timer here. We placed an order for '24 X7 40i on 02/14/23. Received a production code on 03/01/23. on the BMW app, my X7 was assigned a VIN on 03/16/23. As of today, it shows as "production begins". My dealer thinks that X7 will be here on 04/05/23. I have a hard time believing that. When do you guys think I should be receiving delivery?

your production date is going to be on or around 3/30. figure a day or two to clear qc and get on a truck, 4/5 is definitely possible and possibly sooner if they get ahead in production, can shave a few days.

Wow that's crazy fast. How do you know my production date? is it on the BMW website?

Google "F12 trick bmw prod date"

That being said, your prod completion date is likely in the system as 4/1 but can move up a few days, so that's probably what your dealer is basing it on.

My salesman just called and said he received an allocation for my 2024 X7M60i. It has a week of May 14 production schedule. I placed my order on January 24th. Hopefully, I'll get a production number soon.

That’s good news! At least the 60i’s are moving again. My dealer said at least a couple of months for me.

1-800-831-1117 follow the prompts and say production status after they say go to my garage, hit 0. Ask the person your production week. You will need your production number.

what new hardware? People have been discussing April ... for the driving assistant but i had not heard july one ...

On the larger thread discussing the differences (have been following for a while), it seems that highway assist will come in April, but the full hardware update is likely delayed until post-July 1 builds. This could be the difference between getting the updated operating system (8.5) - if I understand correctly. I am currently waiting for an allocation - should be in the next month or two. And as excited as I am to finally get one (put down a deposit in December), I feel like delaying a month or two could better future-proof my build. But I may also have misunderstood.

The build guide for 2024 clearly says upto 85MPH .. that they are charging i.e.2100 option. I would be surprised if within the same year model they would have hardware discrepancy like that. I woul dthink for insurance and other uses this can cause all sorts of problems.

It's the head unit and iDrive 8.0 vs iDrive 8.5.

Post July 1 builds will get MGU5 vs MGU4+ for pre-July. Whether or not MGU4+ will get the iDrive 8.5 update OTA remains to be seen.
