I am looking at a few options in chicago land area, but I am uncertain if the prices are reasonable. The last two options come fully loaded with features, but I think I could potentially get a new vehicle with fewer options at a lower price than the used ones. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

All of them are overpriced given that you can get 8-9% off on a 2025 order or a 2024 on the lot so not going to save much if any by getting these. That the problem with super low miles used cars.

The first question is which options are important to you? If you’re spending this much on a car, you should know what you want it to have and what is ‘nice to have’.
If you don’t want the features- then look for a stripped down version. I’m sure you can find 2024 stripped down versions new on some lots in the Midwest and negotiate a discount. If you want certain features and that puts you over your budget for new- then focus on used.

If going used be sure to know why it was traded in. Were there issues with it and it’s a trade assist vehicle? A few X7’s have had some issues with them and taken back by dealers for a variety of reasons- was that the case with any of the low mileage options?

Without knowing what are your must haves- this is a hard question for others to answer.

Following on about knowing what you may want. Each option has pros and cons. Even tired size (21-s are easy to replace 22 and 23 are harder to find and harder to replace). Simple things like tow hitch- very expensive to retro fit- cheap to have on it. Tow hitch also comes with bigger brakes and bigger cooling system for the car as well as pre-programmed options in idrive that wouldn’t happen with retro fit. It also eliminates the kick to open option. In the end- each option has been debated discussed on the forum at length. It’s a great real to get educated. Use this to then go to the dealer and see them in real life to come to your conclusion about what you want. Then figure out which path works better for you and what a fair price is. Some have passed on their unicorns for a thousand or two. Others have happily overpaid to get what they wanted as soon as practical. Another decision point.

In terms of discounts- there are a ton out there. If you’re not worried about the features/options (and these aren’t trade assist/buy backs)- then suggest just walking into each dealer with a price you would pay for the car. If it’s not met- walk out to the next. I’d start with the one with the most options s first and work to the one with the least. 24’s have been selling at 6-9% discounts for a while; so these likely did not sell at msrp. That is likely baked into what the dealer paid as well. So asking for a large discount from msrp plus devaluation for not being new would be appropriate.

I took such a bath on my X7 order due to being eager and indecisive. I could let them keep the down payment and still probably come out ahead by thousands. Screw it I guess, my mistake. At least I did get the $4k military rebate.

I'll tell you what though, my dealer is going to have to beat every single purchase I ever make from them again for no other reason than how butt hurt I am. LOL

Not your dealer's fault. They play the games because they work! House always wins (otherwise it'd be a non-profit, LOL)!

Nope, not their fault at all. The kid that sold it to me is very young, I'm sure I made his month.

Where I draw the line is when they charge ADM and claim everyone is doing it also. They really are looking for the next sucker ala P.T. Barnum!

Question(s) on Military Discount. For X7 it's $4,000. I'm currently working with a broker for an M60 to get total % off MSRP and allocation.

I'm guessing Military Discount works similarly to BMW Loyalty in that the $4,000 is above and beyond the % off MSRP that the Broker will get you from a dealer? Assuming this is because this is WITH BMW and not the dealer like BMW Loyalty?

I've already done the ID.ME on BMW and validated, but they asked to specify a dealer to submit which I picked the one closest to my house (which I'm about 100% positive I will not purchase from as they won't move too many points off MSRP). Anyone know if this is in fact in BMW System now and any dealer populate once we agree in principle on price below MSRP?

Making some assumptions and reading through several threads it appears that I'll be able to:
1 - Give build code to Broker and Dealers
2 - Dealers will give % off MSRP they are willing to sell it for
3 - On top of that discount, I will save $1,000 for BMW Loyalty (Is this taken at Dealer or some mail away or check that gets cut separately? I know this is with BMW and NOT the dealer, just can't seem to confirm when/where you receive it)
4 - On top of the % off MSRP + $1,000 Loyalty, I will also get $4,000 in addition to that. I also can't seem to confirm when/where/how I will receive this
5 - On top of those, I will also get $1,000 from BMW CCA for an X7.

Military is NOT stackable as I understand with any work and employment discounts.

Is there anything else I'm missing? Apprecaite anyone helping to confirm any of the questions above. Hoping to clearly illustrate this out not just for myself, but for several others on here that have or will have similar questions.

That sounds about right. Just make sure your CCA membership is 1 year old or 3+ years and 6 months old.

Not sure what you're referring to, I'm the only one who answers that email. Are you referring to a 40i or an M60i, because we 100 are custom ordering 2025's for discounts, it varies across the country but we're generally at a minimum of 7-8% off orders for the 40i, if not more.

You can't get the $4k military and loyalty.

Loyalty is only for BMWFS funded deals whether lease or loan. There is no loyalty on cash/outside-FS deals, which is how the 4k military rebate works.

If you finance or lease with BMWFS, you can get loyalty and $500 military.

You replied and then copied your associate Chris who then came back with that. It was for an M60i.

Ah, yes, apologies, if it was an M60i then that would be correct. Maybe once we have excess allocations or stock units sitting, but for now my suggestion if you need a discount on an M60i is to try to find a dealer in the middle of nowhere that likely would sit on the car and make them offers, for now, not much reasoning we can use to push our dealers to discount the M60i's.

3.34 APR for 2025 X7 builds?

Has the APR changed for BMWFS on 2025 X7 builds?

Strange that they are offering 4.99% APR on 2024 MY vs 3.34% APR on 2025 MY. Has anyone confirmed this (seems like a mistake) !

I saw the same last night, but seems like a mistake. No way they would go that low for the new MY.

I saw the 3.34% too and texted my dealer. He said they are still using March programs and wait until tomorrow

They fixed the website. Shows 5.29% now which is the 4.99% buy rate and some mark up they always add in the calculator

Oh... I did not know they added a markup in the calculator. So the final rate at the dealer would be always lower than what is on the calculator?

Yea in this case buy rate is 4.99% but BMW lets dealer to mark it up to 1%. I assume the calculator shows some markup to help dealers with this lol
