[CODING] G07 E-Sys Cheat Codes

Hi All,

I finally got my E-Sys setup and did some coding. I have started to develop cheat codes for speeding things up in E-Sys.

I have made a pull request to the main packetpilot repository here: https://github.com/packetpilot/bmw-f/pull/106

Here is a current list of coding options that I have found.

Tested:
  1. DISABLE Speedometer Correction
  2. DISABLE Legal Disclaimers (Camera, Night Vision)
  3. SET Startup Mode (Adaptive, Eco Pro, Eco Pro Individual, Sport, Sport Individual, Comfort [DEFAULT])
  4. ENABLE Auto Start/Stop Memory
  5. DISABLE Legal Disclaimer Time
  6. ENABLE Tire Temp and Pressure Display
  7. DISABLE Volume Pop-up display

Plan on testing:
  1. SET Startup Emblem (bmw_m, rolls_royce)
  2. SET Sound Signal Set (bmw [default], bmw_i, mini, rolls royce)
  3. Video in motion (VIM): DISABLE Speedlock Max and Min
  4. VIM: Disable Video Speedlock Condition

Note: VIM requires entering a physical button combination. I will verify this and add it to the post.

Other things I noticed:
  • Drive Recorder is enabled in my dealer coding, hopefully early adopters will have it available in the update.
  • There is an X7 M60i logo in my coding. Attached.
  • Still trying to get the Alpina display to work.

Other items I want to investigate when I have time:
  • 3rd row AC when seats are down
  • Ability to lower the vehicle after parking/locking vehicle

Video of animation and Night Vision legal disclaimer disabled.

This is good work. Before you know it, there will be a G07 coding section soon . But just a thought... Have you reached out to the BimmerCode app developer with G07 coding requests and/or help? E-sys is not the most user friendly coding option for most (I have it and have used it) but BimmerCode is (I have BimmerCode as well). Finding and testing coding parameters for different platforms is the time consuming part and I am sure the BimmerCode developer would appreciate the help. I have a feeling that more G07 owners could take advantage of this with an easier interface like BimmerCode.

Of course, remote coding is always an option, but I personally prefer DIY....

Thanks! I coded my F-series cars regularly, but didn't realize you could use E-Sys with G-series. I've just been using Bimmercode.app, which is great but doesn't have some of these options.

Do you have the links (PM if necessary) for the latest ESYS and DATA downloads?

I have reached out to the BimmerCode dev in the past about helping. That was before I obtained E-SYS from TokenMaster.

I agree it would be easier with BimmerCode.

I also would like a dedicated CODING section to keep things clean.

I am unable to share the links, however, I followed the TokenMaster directions to the letter and receive everything I needed to do this.

I believe Launcher Pro 3 latest version is needed since it has most of the correct mappings.

Need to find a video that works. Then I'll test.

Was able to do some testing and Video in Motion does work.

Once you have coded Video in Motion on, you have to do a physical button combination to activate it in the HU_MGU.

The combination is to hold the touch knob forward and then hit Media, Home, Media without releasing the touch knob. Video demo here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7iw3yxg7v6...dlock.mov?dl=0

I have also added some clarifications to the cheat codes and re-formatted the labels in E-Sys for clarity.

This is great. Now only if I could find a way to do this through Bimmercode...

Watching TV in the car is fun:

Does BimmerCode have access to the HU_MGU ECU yet? You may need expert mode even if it does.

Great job! Glad to see progress on this. Hoping 3rd row AC and some control over suspension lowering can be achieved.

OK, so I have just sent Tokenmaster 50 bucks to his PayPal. Let's see what happens.

I am joining the coding world! XDA mode coming online!

You don't send to his PayPal. You have to follow the directions in his automated email response.

You make a donation to one of the charities and copy him on the receipt. You will have to follow the directions explicitly or you most likely not get a response.

I have sent an email to Stephan of BimmerCode offering to help get all of these options into his app to make it easier for others to code these options in G07 and G05 platforms.

I did follow his direction.

"If you think it's an inconvenience, then you can also PayPal (discrete, absolutely NO notes or comments or donation/payment indicator, US$ currency if possible) it to me at est4bmw@gmail.com and I will add it to my donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital and Breast Cancer Research Foundation. 100% of the proceeds goes to these two foundations on 60/40 split.

If you choose to use PayPal, select "Payment for service" and do not add any notes or comments other than your email address, if different from your PayPal ID. Never add the words "Donation" or "Payment". PayPal will block the transaction if there is a note and you will have to deal with them yourself. "

So, do you think I need to redo the process?

Ahh forgot about that. Only remembered the donation part. My mistake.

LOL. Now just waiting for his reply. I also ordered cable and converter and I have a old window tablet laying around somewhere.

May I ask how long did you wait for his code?

2-3 days, but he has to travel for work sometimes.
