Remote 3D view

Does anyone got the remote 3D view working properly with BMW connect APP?

Mine has issues with transfer, dealer told me that there are server issues on BMW side is this correct?

Many times I get error or if I am lucky I get this type of not complete image

I've tried mine about 4 times. Worked ok. One time it couldn't get data from car. Not sure how useful it is.

10.3.1.1578 this is BMW connect, the car was build in August so I assume latest version. I have the app I staled on iOS phone

I also have an iOS phone and mine works surprisingly well as long as the phone is on WiFi. Otherwise it’s a crapshoot. It takes a while to refresh even with WiFi.

One thing I love is taking photos with the remote view view app. You can save the photos, and also I think you can go back to previous views and manipulate the image and keep a snapshot.

I have photos of sunsets behind my car, for example, and the car sitting in front of a home I was visiting. No one knows you are taking the photos either, which could be handy.

My remote view took a 2 month vacation during June/July, but started working again about a month ago. I occasionally get server connection issues, but retrying usually works. I've never gotten partial images like your picture.

WiFi or not the issues are the same, I get also server issue messages. When I observe the car it looks like it does what it should unfolds mirrors takes images I guess and goes to sleep the issue is on transferring the message to my phone, I have att phone and t mobile so I know the att has good range and this is what bmw is using

Looks like my never was born as I have issues since day one 😂

Check the x5 thread. There are things you can try.

Mine works when it wants to about half the time. I believe it's a Bmw server issue and it's a problem with all models that have 3D cam remote view

This could just be a coincidence, but here is what has happened to me. Between the time I first got my X7 a few weeks ago and recently my battery voltage has been around 13v.

They tinted and preped the vehicle at the dealer. Then I sat in the vehicle at the dealer for an hour while they gave me a rundown of it. Then I have done nothing but short drives around town. During this time, the 3D remote view was flaky at best (which made it lame showing friends to put it mildly).

The battery never really had a chance to fully charge. During a 4 hour road trip this past weekend, I changed the display on my dash to show the real time fuel economy and batter voltage. During the drive I watched it slowly climb from 13.1 all the way to 15.

Since this the 3D view has worked flawlessly. Maybe if the voltage is low it tries to save power? Maybe the camera and communication system is just voltage sensitive? Maybe I just got lucky with server communication timing? Don't know, but it seems to be working well for me now...

Same view (driver's side mirror blank), same error messages, same intermittent (usual) failure. In my X5 40i. Fully topped off by my trickle charger. All other Connected functions work, including Remote Start. It's BMW....

Mine is now at service and they admitted that something is wrong, as also remote start I mean the one with app stopped working, now car is being worked on since Thursday morning every day BMW asks for one more day... I let you know if finally this gets fixed

I have owned this car for 10 days. The app worked for 3 and now I cannot use the Climatize, looks, or Remote 3D view. It all fails. When I called last night they say it is a known issue and they don't know when it will be fixed.

So assuring as my car is still at the dealer and now my loaner X7 shows check engine light haha oh well

My remote 3D view works, but only when I’m on WiFi. When I try it while out and about on LTE, seems to always fail.
