About to sign for my new build

Hello all! I am about to sign on a build for my new xdrive50i. I have included the link to my build and wanted to get all opinions on what options I chose and also options anyone suggest. I'm super excited but want to make sure we are getting options that are worth having. Thanks a lot and glad to be here!

In Houston I have no idea why you’d want the cold weather package. I highly recommend the luxury seats. The ventilation and massage are wonderful!

Have you driven one with the 40i engine? Plenty powerful and fast.

I have the Harmon upgrade sounds system and it is amazing. I wouldnt spend so much for the B&W. Be sure to get the assisted cruise control. I don’t have it and wish I did. My sister’s new Mazda came standard with it. She isn’t a gadget person, but she loves it.

I’d also opt for the rear seat captains chairs. If you will have adult sized passengers, you will love them!

Hope that helps!

Because it’s one of the only ways to get air conditioning vents in the third row as they are not standard equipment.

You can get third row ventilation without the cold weather package. 5-zone climate package is a standalone option. It doesn’t save you a ton of lettuce, but it’s less than the cold weather package if you don’t need rear heated seats or a heated steering wheel / console (front seats are heated as standard).

“3 stage heated front seats” are standard.

The cold weather package adds the following:

1. 5-zone climate control with 3rd row ventilation (can be purchased as a standalone option)
2. Heated rear seats
3. Heated steering wheel and heated center console

1. Cold weather Package ( Must have, It's for 3rd row AC)
2. Remote Starter ( save us time, the car will be ready and go while we can get ourself ready in wintertime and summertime)
3. Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System (It looks a lot better with it)

My main comment would be you can get M50i for not much more, so unless you're going with luxury trim, I'd give M50i a look...

Guys apparently if you do not have cold weather package there are no vents in 3rd row so I assume you would want vents there?

There is no vent on 3rd row if you dont get cold weather package. BMW should be included this option when they are offer us 3rd row but BMW want more money from us. I think you should pay for this package even you dont have that much peoples drive with you all the time but it's good for your groceries or animals.

I’d price the M50i and see how much more it’ll cost you. My ‘19 50i was only $3000 less than a ‘20 M50i would’ve been with the exact same spec.

My advice is the same, with the options you already specced out, you should just get the M50i. You get the laser headlights and a more powerful engine. Unless, you don't like the M sport bodykit.

That's just what I did - just placed an order today for an M50i. I was close earlier this year to order a 50i, glad I waited for 2020, as the M50i is not much more expensive.

I'm leasing and the dealer told me the residual is different on both cars. The m50i would be higher with the same msrp.

That doesn’t seem entirely accurate. If you go to the BMW website and build a 2020 50i, and a 2020 M50i with same MSRPs, and then go to estimate payments, you get the same monthly lease payments for each from BMW Financial. Which means same RV for both must be the same...

Good point. I'll look into that. Is there a reason he would steer me in the direction of the 50i?
