Too good to be true...
Long story short I am now considering an M3....I found this one but a little cautious with used vehicles. What do yall think?

The address to the place is 5930 Westheimer. My parents own a restaurant in the area and they deliver a lot... I've never seen a car lot around there before. Strange.
It might be worth less because the car isn't CPO'd and is being sold by some random company. |

Invoice is probably higher than 60k, sticker should be $73k-ish for that car. Deal seems good, just be sure its not a flood damage or been in a major accident or something. M cars tank in value as soon as you drive them off the lot, but I'd still be skeptical here. Looks like a random used car dealer, so they must have got it at auction. Cars like these normally don't go to auction for no reason - there's much more money in it for dealers if they can slap a CPO seal of approval on it.

I don't really see what the big deal is. If the history's clean and the car drives nice enough, just buy the damn thing.
I'd probably have an independent mechanic look over the car just for peace of mind. If everything checks out ok, then I don't see why not. Even if the car had been in a wreck it probably wouldn't deter me any if the deal was good enough. Depends on the extent of the damage and if there was frame damage. Then again most modern machinery at high end shops can bring a car close enough back to factory specs. GL.

$55k aint cheap and there are too many other options to jump on something that seems even a little fishy.
I'd keep looking. But if you just bought and IS and already want an M3...something is wrong, lol. |

Me personally? I'd never buy a used //M. You should see how my buddy dogs his around. But maybe you'll luck out and it might've been some old grandpa/grandma that didn't know any better and it was too much power for them to handle so they got rid of it......most likely not though

If the car is clean why not beside still under warranty, save yourself some money.

From the pictures, the hood/bumper fitment looks a bit off (huge gap). Unless the hood just isn't latched all the way.

In Houston you don't need a river. Any underpass during a tropical storm will do. People are incredibly stupid about driving their cars through standing water down here.
I'd move on and look for a one owner car that you can ask about any trauma in the life of the car. This one seems to have been passed around like it was in an M3 witness protection program.

Use the leverage you have with the salesman of no longer wanting the 335is to have him find you a nice m3 coming into the dealership.
Cars from auctions are 50/50. If it went to auction because NO BMW dealership wanted to CPO it then I would stay away from it because they already decided they do not want to maintain this car. But with 1,800 miles, that is very strange. IF this wasn't passed up by a BMW dealership and was all private sale... look deep enough. Make sure it wasn't lemon law'd somewhere and now is being sold somewhere else. And of course, take it to a trusty mechanic and get a good opinion. --> I would pay more for a CPO M3, but that doesn't mean this isn't worth checking out. |

Just buy a new one. You'll get better financing, and the cost is the same. That M3 is USED. I wouldn't pay over 49,900 for it.

I don't see any used with low miles anymore but I have seen M3's for 45-48K with 30K in miles so this is about right

Wow, back in 2008 I paid $55k for a new fully loaded E92 335i....thats the same price as this black 09 M3 with most of the options I wanted too....that really hurts.
