That's unfortunate. My last X5 50i would get to 130 really quickly and I imagine the X7's with more power is even quicker.

Be glad you don't own a newer Volvo. Top speed is capped at 112.
Volvo NA is a totally strange and intriguing ball game.
Don't get me started there

Sometimes it's just about what you're sold and what's delivered.

Think of it like an owner of a super-sport car such as Bugatti 🤔

If you own a Bugatti you can afford to have it flown to the German autobahn and have at it. 😂

I dont think any of us are consistently cruising at 130, but occasional jaunts do happen. I've driven to Florida twice and there are a many cars at 90-100 mph for long periods. These vehicles are extremely capable of cruising at over 100mph, safely.

Capable perhaps, legal, definitely not. I don't wish to see an X7 or any other vehicle for that matter passing by at 130 mph.

Maybe true.... But there is a big difference between cruising at 90-100 mph vs 130-155 mph on US roads no matter what car you are driving (and I like to drive fast ). I am all for making sure you get what you pay for, but sometimes is the juice really worth the squeeze?

For those of you living in the US, good luck with BMW Corporate on this one. First world problems I guess...

One of the few things I miss about Abu Dhabi.
You sign a waiver and they remove speed limiter. Speed alarm and seatbelts alarm as well.

FWIW, my 2021 X7 M50i spec'ed with the 22" 758i Individual wheels specifically lists 840 Increased Top Speed Limiter. I have not had an opportunity to verify this, yet.

No where as it is locked at 130Mph so we have been sold something that was never delivered

Same like hp, most drivers never see the rated hp as it is only happening when the car is driven hard, but I guess no one will be happy when they would learn that they paid for 530hp and in fact it is 430hp, this is just analogy but I have to so so far I am disappointed looks like BMW decided to cheat on its fun buyers!
