X5 M60i exhaust upgrade
Hello, I own a '21 X5 M50I which has such a lovely V8 growl. From the cold starts to driving in Sports mode the exhaust note from factory is perfect.
Im picking up my '24 X5 M60i and Ive been searching for exhaust options whether a valve removal or x-pipe, down-pipe or full exhaust for the M60i. However I haven't found much examples out there to shop from. Also Im not sure I want to spent thousands on an exhaust for a M60i. Has anyone modded their X5 M60i exhaust? Any videos or experience would be helpful... |

If the M50i exhaust sounds so good, why not install an original M50i axle back exhaust on the M60i?
Is there a difference in the available space or pipes route? |

I had a thread on this here where some folks shared their recommendations! I am still waiting for an OEM or OEM approved (e.g. Dinan) choice: https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2048024

Not many, if any, solutions. Search the engine, exhaust, drivetrain forum section for many comments on the subject. FWIW, I’ve had my M60i for 6 months and yes the exhaust is a bit muted. It growls on cold starts but softens when the valves close. Some have forced the valves to stay open by removing the corresponding fuse. Personally I will leave it as is.
