I recently used the Lite version, it connected and scanned codes no problem. even came up a little window saying the pro version will work fine.

So i bit the bullet and paid the £40 for the pro app.

Straight away it would not connect. warning saying "communication error"

my ELM327 even stopped showing up on Andriod scan devices.

Fired up OBD Car doctor and it connected and scanned no probslem

Have these Carly MF's programmed it so it only runs via there adapter or am I missing something?

I managed to get the app connected to the ELM327, but when i tell it to write codes it fails

Bought an OTG cable for a cable i have from a failed INPA istall.

No luck there either!

Can anyone help? Does anyone have their Carly app working without the Carly adapters?

Sadly don't have a laptop anymore. it was a few years ago i tried it. the troubles i had have put me off trying again.

That's why Carly really appealed to me. Seemed so simple.

I'm just P'd off i feel like i'm being forced to buy their adapter.

Yes they modified their code to only work with their own adapters.

This is noted on their web site.
