Performed the remote software update over the weekend. Since then the charging state in the app no longer is correct. The gas mileage remaining is accurate, but the charge is not. All the other functions in the app seem fine (lock status, location, combustion range, digital key access, etc.).

Tried these things so far.
- Soft iDrive reset
- Log out/in on the app
- Disabled/enabled the remote data privacy settings in the car

I haven't gone as far as deleting out my profile in the car and then re-installing. I don't have a physical key with me and am afraid I will lose the digital key ability, leaving me stuck at work.

Anyone else have this data link broken?

Also, on another note. Where is the settings for the new "Welcome light animation" that is in the new software? I browsed all the settings I could think of and can't find it.

I have same issue. Doesn’t update charging status. It will be fixed at some point. Welcome light animation is only present for 2024 models with newer head unit. It’s above BMW Iconic Glow toggle under welcome and goodbye. Five options
Off, original, allegro, vivace, adagio

Ok, good to know.

Glad BMWNA can figure out capabilities in the app update and car regarding the iconic glow. It's touted all over the upgrade in my app and even on my iDrive screen when it was completed. But with mine being a 2023.... Useful idiots.

No update here but charging status was still broken.. It was an issue with BMW’s backend most likely, just happened your update coincided with the issue..
