Engine and Drivetrain - Very smooth and lots of power. It comes on about like you would expect. My prior experience was in a 2022 GLS 450. The BMW is way smoother when taking off from a stop than the Mercedes. . I would say it is a much better driving experience than the GLS.

The transmission worked well. I hardly noticed it as I was driving around, it does its job very well. Another plus

Handling - Great, as you would expect from a BMW. Great feel around corners. We have a lot of round-abouts locally and it was very composed going through those. I probably go through them faster than I should.

Others - Love the seats, super comfy and adjustable. Note: the car came with two pillows for the second row headrests. I thought it was an option, seems like it is standard (not in any of the packages I picked). We have three kids, so I guess that will be a point of contention now.

Glass controls: I was a bit worried about my choice here. It seems it was a love or hate thing on 2022 models. The controls are smaller in the 2023, so the glass controls seem less "pimpish" than before. There isn't a large shifting stalk like prior models, just a smaller switch that fits in with the rest of the car. I am happy with my choice here. Oh, and I had no issues with sunlight and glare.

iDrive 8 is okay. I am completely new to it. Last I saw of iDrive was in a 2017 X5. I feel like I am an Apple user that has just been handed an Android phone. Everything is familiar but different. It also seems to come on and stay on too much. Again, probably a setting to deal with. We will chat with the local genius to sort some of that out.

that about all I got.

PS - If you want to see something specific on the car picture wise, let me know and I will do my best.
The wireless charging station looks different comparing to the MY22 model. Can you take a closer picture of that?

Adding a few pics I took this morning, sorry no night pics. I go to sleep before it gets dark and did not think to take pics before it was light this morning.

The car wasn't 100% clean when I took these. Still has some water spots on the roof glass from a bath it got yesterday at the dealer. I'll give it another bath this weekend and get those spots cleaned up.

Do you have driving assistance professional package in this . if yes , can you please confirm if it includedes extended traffic jam assistance. It used to be listed separately for X5 , for x7 it is not listed.

Thanks for the pictures ... sorry not to alarm you, but there is a small patch of discolored on the seat. Is that a photo issue and not visible when you see it?

Hi , I am planning to place an order for this exact same configurations. Since you already have this with you , can you please help me in confirming below :

1. Does it have extended traffic jam assist?
2. Does it have digital key plus feature when it get unlocked even if your phone is in your pocket and you do have the vehicle key with you ?

the salesperson is not very clear about these feature so wanted to get the info from someone who owns this.

Hi,

Not sure on 1, but likely. 2 is confirmed by this thread (https://g07.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1945417)

1. The closest I could find is Assisted Driving Plus. It seems to be close to what you are wanting. Comes with Driving Assistance Pro Pkg. I used the Driver's Guide app mentioned in U235 thread on his M60 to look up "traffic jam". It took me to this. Look it up online and see if it's what you are after.

2. Yes, this is confirmed. Our Genius went over it with us. I have not set it up. I will say the wide band stuff works almost too well. See the convo on U235 thread.

On more note, you get an extra digital key card with the car that can be used to unlock and drive the car. Almost like a valet key.

Congrats! I ordered the same color exterior, and in a few of your photos, I see a blue hue... Yes or no? Also, the cream headliner, did you order that or is that the standard color?

Yeah, it has a blue hue to it for sure. Very dependent on the lighting. My youngest asked why we choose primer grey when he first saw it. It was in the garage in the evening.

The headliner is the stock one.
