Just got this 2024 X7 Configurator today:

Some possible bad news is that my dealer says the HUD will not be available at 1st. I had thought it had been replaced by the HUD called out several pages down.

For me NO HUD = NO BUY

Looks like the end of DHP for MY24 for the 40i? Very unfortunate. I wonder if there’s any chance they will reintroduce later in the model year. It also might be why M60i allocations are so hard to come by if that’s the limiting factor.

Also no HUD seems ridiculous if true. Definite no buy in that case.

My dealer is sure there will not initially be a HUD, but he is double-checking to be sure. I will update if there is good news.

Dealer indicates both, but I am not sure he is correct. He is going to check with his Tech support.

Yeah this was standard in M60i. it would be odd (if it is removed) as DHP (or it's variant) is also STD in M60i even though not available in 40i.

Thanks Rereading it 6U3 is STD for both 40i and M60i, so it looks like it is STD, probably justifies the price bump lol

I asked my dealer about that line and he said it does not replace the deletion. He seemed sure of his position, but we will see.

What do you mean no HUD? Live cockpit Pro includes HUD.

Now I am curious how this will affect other models. HUD is available as an option on pretty much all models. I really hope it is being replaced with something else or named differently

Once again, I thought the Live Cockpit Pro line replaced the deleted HUD on the 1st Page, so I contacted the dealer who provided the configuration sheet and he was absolutely sure it didn't. At my request, he said he would confirm that with his tech-support folks and get back to me if he was wrong. I am not knowledgeable enough to call it one way or the other and will update if he finds he is wrong. If you know the answer, so be it!

If you look at my previous post, I published that line "6U3 Live Cockpit Pro (Incl. HUD, Video AR)" which looks very similar to yours except you used big bold letters.

Yes, that’s what I am trying to relay, that it has the HUD.

If your dealer said they are excluding the HUD due to inventory problems that would be an issue. Your vehicle will have a HUD if you have 6U3 on your order.

I truly hope you are right. We'll see what my dealer finds out. Here is the exact email conversation I had with the dealer:

ME: The heads up display deletion on the 1st Page was scary, but it appears a HUD is included as standard.

DEALER: Correct. But It's also listed as deleted equipment for April builds. It will be added at a later date, but the initial builds will not have it.

Note that I was initially advocating your position/interpretation!

that really sucks that DHP looks like its going to be perma gone from the 40i.

Received my X7 40 build config and a list of standard features on MY24 X7 40. The live cockpit with HUD is on both as standard…no deletions. I’ve attached both. Asked dealer and they said no info to them of 24s shipping without HUD.
