Teaser for all you N63 owners! N63 downpipes.
We mastered the N54 downpipes, then the N55 and we are back at it again. This time for the N63! Prototypes should be done early next week and hope to be available for sale in early April!!!
For those of you who don't know who we are, we are a top competitor in the N54 and N55 motor world for aftermarket performance parts. We are always looking for markets to expand in to and when we got a call about N63 downpipes, it seemed like a great opportunity. You can view our N54 and N55 downpipes on our website at www.ardesign.info As with all of our downpipes, these will be made of quality SS304 tubing with mandrel bends, and hand tig welded right here in Denver, CO. Guaranteed perfect fitment every time. I'll update this thread with more pictures as the work and development of these downpipes progresses. The car a generous member let us borrow for a few weeks while he is in town. Digging deep into the engine bay to reveal the stock downpipes Pile of plastic engine covers and intake components you need to remove to get to the downpipes Finally got to the downpipes, those factory cats are HUUUGE! Stay tuned as I will continually update this thread with more pictures! |

Here is some pictures of the progress. Finally got the stock ones out of the car This chassis has some of the tightest clearances we have ever had to deal with! New pipe with race cat almost ready to be tested for correct 100% fitment! |

So how much would the entire job cost ? Labor & parts, if done at your shop.
Once the installed is done, can you let us know how it performed. Thanks |

So there are no O2 sensor's pre/post those huge cats??? Or are they just not shown in the pic's above?
Are there two more cat's downstream? That's some SERIOUS heat shielding in that V. Nice work.

Looks like they will flow more air, and keep things cooler. But just can't agree with BMW putting the hot turbos and cats next to the intake maifolds where the intake air needs to be cool. i would think any responce gained by positioning the turbos close to the intake would be nullified by the hot air.

Hey Chris Any info of the dimensions of those cats? 3" all the way or gradual increase in diameter? Also, will you offer catted and non-catted versions? Really excited to know that N63 is starting to gain some attention in the tuning field. This engine has a lot of potential. |
