2nd row seats don't fold flat

I tried the max luggage button, hear a little hum but nothing happens (other than seats moving back if they were forward). ~1K miles on the car. Looked for obstacles and there are none. I wasn't expecting this. Any known common issues before we take it to the shop?

If you have captains chairs, unfortunately, they don’t fold flat at all - only bench seats will fold down. This was a big decision for us, too, but we figured we would rarely fold the second row down so we stuck with the captains chairs.

Yep, can't fold captains chairs and the max button won't even move them all the way forward. However if you press a button for the second row folding it will move the captains chair all the way forward and move the backrest in the upright position.

Since your car has captain chairs, they don't fold flat. That's the primary reason why I ordered bench seats. The cargo space is much larger and when I need to buy long and bulky items like a TV, I don't need to rent a truck or van.

Sorry I had amnesia! When I drive with the 2nd row seats forward (similar to how you would for accessing the 3rd row), the car keeps complaining that the seats are out of place. Is there any way to suppress that warning?

I haven't found any way to suppress it. I wouldn't drive with seats like that unless I really had to, because they could detach from the tracks in case of a crash.
