Dinan springs vs AC Schnitzer springs
Pretty sure no one has either of the 1st two installed but I'm curious as to thoughts of which would be the best option to provide a modest drop but maintain everyday drive ability in M-Sport suspension:
Dinan springs + bump stops AC Schnitzer springs M-Performance springs Discuss

Wow, never even heard of ac schnitzer springs. Anyway, I'm not sure there's much info regarding those and M performance, but Dinan has officially released theirs as a 30% increase in stiffness and 20mm drop. M performance springs are 10mm drop but increase in stiffness is unknown. I would guess they will behave similarly to Dinan springs. No idea about ac schnitzer. Maybe they would be closer to H&R and Eibach?

On the official website, they have two options, one is for the 328 and the other for the 335... What's the difference? Will there be any problem on installing any of them on a base standard suspension F30 320d? I have mailed the Dinan guys but no response yet... Can anyone of you shed some light? These springs are a blessing in disguise.

you have the regular msport shocks. M performance shocks are the $1400 option, that also includes the stiffer springs.

Yea, it would probably drop even more. But like said above, the springs are designed to match the sports suspension/DHP dampers :/ If you really want to go this route, you could buy a 328i M sport suspension from the classified section and then add these springs to it. Then you'll have a US spec sport suspension

I very much would like to see a comparo between the newly-released Dinan spring set and the AC Schnitzer springs already available for the F30. But I suppose we'll have to wait until Shockware is released and then the full Dinan "kit" will be compared to the full Schnitzer kit. If you have DHP and any interest in Shockware it would not make sense to buy non-Dinan springs at this time since no doubt Dinan is at this very moment carefully calibrating their spring sets with the soon-to-be-released Shockware software.

I've heard rumblings on the boards that they recently made a big step forward with ECU access for the F30 engine tunes. No? Yes? If yes wouldn't that imply that they also have been given improved access for Shockware?

Spoke to a Dinan rep and I was told end of May beginning of June for their tune... Not set in stone though. Won't be cheap. But I'd rather pay more and have piece of mind. About their springs, does anyone have these installed on their 328i? Would love to hear what they are like compared to the regular m sport suspension before pulling the trigger on a set.

Generally speaking AC-Schnitzer springs are spot on for normal daily driving and even track driving on street tires. Throught the different models E30-E90, they've worked very well with stock sport shocks and their own valved dampers(either sachs in E46 trim or bilstein E30 and E36). Although they're wound by eibach, they drive different, more composed and less bouncy.
