Let’s see I could buy a new
1) Lincoln Navigator...barf, no fucking way, don’t care how good
2) pickup truck Cadillac Escalade/Denali/Suburban, maybe if Caddy actually made it on a unibody and gave us the interior room it should have for the size of it
3) GLS, nah, just getting dated
4) Lexus 570 (dislike interior, is it a Toyota...)
4a) Landcruise (looks like a Toyota..)
5) Range Rover, no 3rd row

If the X7 is at all good, I can’t see see why it doesn’t top a list, especially for a BMW enthusiast.
The only thing that would change my mind is the new X5 looks great or BMW goes ballistic on MSRP.

That thing is hideous, and the body look old like a knock off of the previous Mercedes GL class.
The BMW camo game cultivates haters that later swallow their tongues when the finished product comes to market.

Even products NOT camouflaged like the M4 666 wheels were vilified in these very forums only for bozos to say - oh now that I see them in person......

Since you've come out this strongly so soon, I already see you making a move within 16 months of X7 production.

Doubt it, didn't like the F15 either, even less after I drove it.

Been waiting for the X7 for years.

Wife's lease on her GL450 is up in a year.

Of course, I want her to switch to the X7. However, if this is how it really will look, then I doubt my wife will go for it. Damn, it's ugly.

Also, since I've had MB in my garage for many years, I also follow the MB forum.

MB has moved up the release date of the all new GLS model to this year, as a 2019 model, to combat the X7.

In all honesty, I think I see another GLS in my garage. Sigh.

It's hard to beat the GL450. Wife loves it. Great drivetrain, ride, and interior room. My only complaint is the infotainment system, which pails in comparison to my BMW.

And like always, the M Sport treatment makes it look a thousand times better.

I have a feeling this is going to look REALLY good with the right options.

Actually the GLS refresh is now 2020, not 2019. The X166 is going to continue 1 more year...order guides are out already. So the X7 will be to market quite a bit sooner.

July 16, 2018:

The X7 has dropped more camouflage and now wears production paint. We also give you a first look at the X7 interior!

This bit of info has come to light since our last X7 update, via our BMW oracle ynguldyn @ https://g07.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=901686

Both G05 X5 and G07 X7 xDrive50i will replace their launch version of N63 (456hp) with the same new 530hp engine and become X5/X7 M50i. Here's finally your explanation why they were sticking with "xDrive50i": "M50i" was reserved for the more powerful engine.

its closer to the 8er interior. BMW utilizes much of the same across their vehicles now. this interior will translate down to the LCI of the G05 and then down to the G20

This car is so ridiculously overdue. Hard to understand how BMW missed the boat on this boat. Seems like the announcement was years ago too!
