No, just regular tires. I got the road hazard warranty and we have other cars, and with Uber etc... I’m no so worried about getting stranded these days.

According to discount tire and getBMWParts, they are supposed to be run flats.

Supposedly, every year BMW has their winter wheel and tire packages, and when they sell out, they sell out. Have to wait for the next year's offerings.

That being said, since the 752 wheels are also part of BMW's production stock offering on the X7, I would imagine you should be able to find those anytime, until BMW stops offering them.

Finally got a call from the dealer and he said he can get the black 752 wheels but not the 754. I went ahead and placed an order on the 752. Anyways I wanted the black ones for my X7 M50i mineral white with Extended Shadowline. We will see how true it is and if he can get that set.

makes sense to me. and i'd say that given the 754m is the standard m package rim, that should also be available but maybe not given the fact that m package demand seems to be somewhat high. who knows

Just got off the phone with my advisor at BMW. She said BMW has now approved a winter tire for the standard 22 inch rims, and no need to sign a waiver. (originally they said they could stretch some other tires on it but I would have to sign something, which didn't sound appealing at all).

Apparently you can put a set of winter Pirelli's on that are 275/40/22 and 315/30/22, and BMW has approved this tire for the X7.

Not sure exactly what "approved by BMW" means, but that's what she told me.

Does anyone find a meaningful snow/ice performance difference between 20", 21", and 22"?

The higher sidewalls on the 20s are supposed to help traction in theory. In practice, I'm not sure you'd notice much.

Yeah you know I think I ultimately went this route because I haven’t deleted any chrome and I think the two tone dark grey/silver ties in nicely to the chrome and shadowline.

The 21" versions are runflats, the 20" versions are available in non-runflats. I think the price difference was > $1,000 for the larger wheels, tires that were runflats. I just didn't think it was worth the extra...

Hey man depends. To put on a set already mounted on rims and take the other set off shouldnt be more than between 25-75 bucks I’d say.

I put mine on myself.

If you need someone to take the tires off one set of rims and put another set of tires on the same rims, that can run between 75-200 in my experiences depending on size of rim and who is doing it (tire shop vs dealer you bought from, etc)

Summer and all-season tires are built to withstand warm temperatures, providing long wear life.

Decreased performance - In warm weather, winter tires won't provide the same handling capabilities as summer or all-season tires. Imagine if you needed to make a quick maneuver and your tires were soft and squishy. You won't get the crisp response from a winter tire in warm weather. Winter tires need that flexibilitity to handle ice and snow, but it's not as useful in warm weather.

(These still don’t feel like huge negatives to me).
You may already know that winter tires rubber compound are designed to be softer in cold temperatures to provide the grip needed. The same rubber compound as you already figured will wear down faster as the temperatures rise above 50-55 degrees. At 80 degrees, the winter tires wear down way faster than desired making them useless by next winter because tread below 6/32 for winter tires are pretty much useless for the said purpose.
As someone rightly said, All-Seasons tires belong to no season

Anymore details on this? Which Pirelli's?
