m50i performance from an M sport x50i?

Is this easily done with tuning? Can someone explain to me about this? I think I understand that there is tuning that reprograms the ECU and then there is tuning that 'piggy-backs' on the ECU but doesn't actually change it? Thanks for your help.

My guess is straight line performance can potentially be achieved via a tune. All around handling/ride etc performance would not be the same due to m differential and tuning of the suspension etc.

I think the Racechip will only bring HP on an Xdrive50i to around 500HP which is close but still less than stock M50i HP levels. It will definitely be noticeable over stock xDrive 50i performance

I’ve ordered a Racechip to get to 500hp on my 2019 50i. Just can’t justify the spend for the new M, and I love the car, and really, 500hp is more than I can ever need.

M diff is available as an option on M-Sport but I did not see in the parts catalog what is different with the m50i suspension versus the 50i M-Sport. Do they have different parts or part numbers?
