I know it all depends on gender, age, geolocation, overall driving history, and few more crucial factors, but I now wonder and just out of curiosity what's the median insurance premium you guys pay on your X7 lease? Can you please post your numbers here? Thanks in advance.

I haven't gotten my car yet, but my insurance agent quoted me roughly $1k/yr.
I have $500k liability, $1k/$500/$100 deductible Collision/Comprehensive/Glass. and OEM parts replacement.
I'm with farmers.

I am paying $1,500 for a year in NYC. I was quoted $1K a year in Long Island. $121K MSRP.

Quoted 2700 a year for a 95k x7 . Geico..500 deductible and usual limits . 1000 deductible makes it 2400. Seems high.

37 y/o, married, driving nearly 20 years. Excellent credit. vehicle will be leased so bmwfs will hold title. Been with Geico 9 years. Current car is an x5 65k paging 2k a year. Something is not right? No accident, or points, speeding ticket in 2014. Upstate NY and car is garaged...had a glass claim once a long time ago (chipped windshield)

I'm at $1144/year. FWIW, insurance went down almost $200/year moving from a $73k F15 X5 to the $94k X7...

What was your situation when you're current policy started? If it's been the same policy for 9 years and your situation changed drastically (credit, marriage, etc.) in that time, it might be worth having them quote writing a new policy. I did it with Progressive a couple of years ago and saved a good $800.

I actually did a rate comparison to see if I could get a better price elsewhere, and was surprised when Progressive came back as the cheapest, but at a different price than I had. They basically just explained that all of the actuarial factors remained in place from when they first wrote me a policy. Discounts have been applied over time for loyalty and such, surcharges came and left for accidents and tickets, but the rate tiering/structure remained. They wrote a new policy and I was still able to keep my loyalty perks and simply just saved money... kind of silly really, but they told me that was the only way.

Seems high. Check with Liberty Mutual and other providers. I have a $1K deductible. You should also do the defensive driving course online ($20) that gives additional discounts for three years. You are outside of NYC so should be even lower.
