BMW Factory towbar and Bike Carrier
Hello Everyone.
I have already ordered a car, but I can still made changes due to the fact it will not be built for the next couple of months. Looking at the towbar, is it possible to connect a suitable bike carrier to it (need 4 bikes really). Can anyone recommend a suitable carrier? |

I use an Atera Strada Evo with a 4th bike adaptor. It's a great carrier. Easy to fit, easy to load and swings down on runners if you need to get into the boot.
Thoroughly recommend it. |

I use an Atera Strada DL for 4 bikes ( in reality is model for three plus an adaptor for an extra bike)
It's an excellent product and brand; robust, light, functional, plenty of high quality details Evo model is as well excellent I chose DL model due the reduced weigth 14,5 kg I'm very satisfied with it |

Whatever you buy, get a tray carrier rack - holds the bike by the wheels. With the others, the bikes will sway and scratch up your beautiful bikes. I use the Yakima Holdup and love it. Get the two inch hitch mount.

Thanks for the replies.
You have put my mind at rest that a bike carrier for 4 will fit. I think I have been listening to my brother too much as he said you can only have a bike carrier if the towbar has flanges, which the BMW one doesn't. Thanks |
