Headlight problem

So my active headlights I think they are called isn't working anymore... When I turn the car right, the lights turn right no problem but when I turn left, they just stay in the middle... WTF?? It seems like my car is having a bunch of small problems and it's making me P'Oed... I'm bringing the car in thursday for this problem, bluetooth not showing up on my screen anymore, and my AC sometimes blows heat at my legs when its blowing cold air at my face...

I'm getting sick of taking off my BMS intake too

are you testing it while standing still? b/c the behavior you described is exactly what it does if the car is not moving. test a left turn at speed. i hope that's the fix.

Mine don't work at the moment and it gave me the picture on the OBC. If they weren't working, I'd hope it would give you the same. Yea, make sure you are moving when testing the theory out. I know mine don't move when I'm sitting still.

My active-headlight warning light went on as I (literally!) drove off the dealer lot the 1st day I picked up my car. It took a week to sort it all out as the dealer tried a few different fixes before finally replacing the whole headlight which required taking off the front bumper! The little motor that turns the headlight was broken. What a way to start off with my new car! oh well....even BMW's can break.

Now don't get me started on the run-flat tires ! A flat cost me $300 and 4 days in the shop ! imagine that ! ugh!

Well granted im stopped, when i turn the wheel to the right the right light turns a lot, then i turn all the way left and the lights still stay straight. When I drive its kinda hard to tell.. It doesnt look like it moves left when I'm driving?

OK, soooo you can't tell if it moves to the left while driving but it looks like it doesn't? then it might be broken.

but if the problem occurs only when you're stopped, remember, they are programmed not to move to the left when stopped. only to the right.

i suggest you got to some quiet, dark residential neighborhood at night, and make some left turns and whatch carefully.

or go to a parking lot and make some slow left turns

So after further investigation they seem to work when driving, but from a stop, they dont turn left...

It was designed for UPS right turn only!! Just kidding guys. I hope we will find the answer.

I have a theory, lets ask folks from UK where its left road driving, if theirs, turns left only then straight at right, then the answer is that the light dispersion is straight when turning left due to protection of incoming traffic plus you have a wider safe zone. When turning right, a greater blind spot is encountered so focus is at the right. Now thats a theory. I am using scientific method on our observations.

The lights are limited in the left had direction to prevent blinding oncoming drivers. It's normal.
