My 'Integrated universal remote control*' works from a greater distance than the garage door remote. Since my door operates on a frequency hop secure mode, or intellicode, whatever, it was quite the PITA. Finally I quite trying to decipher the owners manual and followed it exactly. It seemed counter intuitive to program for the Fixed-code hand-held transmitters on page 103 AND THEN program for Alternating-code hand-held transmitters on page 104. But it worked. It worked so well I even programmed the wife's garage door code. That one only took 2 minutes. The first one, um, much, much longer.

i just put 'other'...have you tried holding the GDO 1 inch away from the mirror? mine finally worked yesterday and i had to hold it really close. the video you see will tell you that if this does not work to push the train button on the motor unit inside your garage... good luck!
