One of the problems I face now with P90X is on ab ripper days when Im doing chest/back or shoulder/arms etc.. when the video is coming to an end like 5 min left, then I have to do ab ripper for 15 min, I get SUPER lazy and sometimes not do it. I hate when that happens.

I hate the scissor kicks and mason twist, but I can go 40 reps straight now with the mason twist. New goal is to do the whole 50 with them. It's just like what Tony says. "I hate it, but I love it".
Turbo>NA - I always tell myself to push hard and the fact that I want to see results. That usually get my motivation going. |

Sweet. I start that on Sunday! How did you do on the plyo pushups and the 1 arm pushups? This is my 3rd time through the routine and I'm looking forward to the Phase 2 days!

Man, the plyo was a good workout. 1 arm pushups...GTFO. I had to be on my knees to even go half way down and even that, I was struggling like a mofo..

Yeah.. 1 arm push-ups are a little nuts. Last time through, I was getting 8 on each arm from the normal plank position. But man, they are hard! Will be interesting to see how I do by the time week 3 is here this time. Personally, I like Phase 2 workouts better then phase 1 routines.

Day 167 of not working out and going strong. Can really see the changes from the lack of working out.

Just got this in the mail for 40bucks from china... or i think somewhere over there haha. Unfortunately just the DVDs, from what i hear the nutrition plan is very important. Is it on the DVDs ... My buddy told me they have a brochure type thing. Any info would be awesome. Any results guys?
Thanks for any info. LOU (subb'd) |

vladdy - Congrats.. You are looking pretty good after one round. Now, imagine the shape you can get in from 90 days from now!
It's all good stuff. Being one of the younger folks doing this (I'm 53) it's a good way to keep in decent shape cardio wise while still getting in decent weight lifts. Once done this round I'm going to get a weighted vest for the next time through the program so the push-ups and pull-ups are harder.

Breakfast: Eggs, an orange apple or banana, and a coffee. -I also substituted the eggs with oatmeal or a yogurt. Whatever I had time for. Lunch: A sandwich and soup. Of course, lean meat and wheat bread. Filled that bad boy up with all sorts of vegetables to get me full. Dinner: lean meat (pork chops, steak, chicken breast, fish) Rice, or potatoes. Any kind of vegetables. Snacks: peanuts, peanut butter, fruits or veggies. And the regular banning of any type of sugars or fats. This means no flavored sports drinks or water. Drink at least ten glasses of water per day. Preferably ice cold (your body burns at least 50 calories per 16 oz of cold water by warming the water) Drink ten= 500 calories easily burned. Learn it, love it live it. I began to love what I was eating, I didn't even have the appetite for junk anymore after a couple weeks. Supplements were not used at all throughout my ninety days, I had a couple protein shakes but thats about it. I would rather eat a steak or tuna rather than a shake. For energy I used protein bars (not too many, and not everyday) cliff bars are yummy. But thats about it. Put it this way, just eat healthy and pure an you will see results. Guarantee. I followed the workout program to the T though, did my workouts at the same time of day and tried my hardest. I skipped a few workouts but I would substitute them with some other sort of physical activity. Yoga was a pain in the ass so I normally only did the first half. Skipped a couple of the Xstretches. Other than that I was strict with the workout. When I started I was only able to do a couple pull ups, and I was getting so warn out. Now I can do 20+ pull ups, and want to do more after I finish working out. One handed push ups were impossible, easily doing 25 now. I feel great!
