Massive improvement especially inside! Hopefully the driving dynamics get back to the BMW standard. F30 was aesthetically a warmed over E90, that’s right a car from 2006.

I think the outside looks decent, save for the back. The interior literally looks like they just raided the Audi parts bin.

Honestly BMW never disappoints, as much as I'd love to see the new rear look more aggressive, the car looks great!
You all will love it too, especially those additional horses under the hood. Heard it should be the C43 destroyer in both numbers and performance overall! |

Im sad the F30 is being phased out but the new design is growing on me rather quickly.

What's the engine in the 340? It makes more power than the M2 N55... is it the B58?

headroom?
Jason, is the headroom of the G20 really down 1.6" from the F30 as is shown under tech specs here: https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...476&highlight=
The F30 has 40.3" of headroom and the G20 is listed as 38.7". It is hard to believe the slightly taller G20 has less headroom. Thanks. |

If you were looking for a bit more radical changes, maybe some design wow factors here and there that would make you say I gotta have this, then, frankly, it's a disappointment. |

Same tech as in the 5 series. Only opens when engine heats up.

still like the style line on the side of the f30 going through the properly designed door handles. I do not like the new door handle design and the style line being completely above the door handles. Seems they fixed the frumpy rear bumper when viewed from the side but too many lines going on. I prefer the F30 rear design more than the G20.
The notch in the headlights was only done to distinguish the G20 from the G30.

I really wanted to love the new 3 but it's a bit of a let down for me. The rear is pretty fugly IMO. Maybe I'll change my mind when I see it in person but the pictures are underwhelming.

The rear looks like it comes from another movie (one I really hate), but the other angles look quite good. The interior looks a bit too "simple" and there is a bit too much chrome on the center air vents, not as bad as in the new X5 though (but I guess it can be fixed).

Did not know this. I assumed the 5 series always stayed closed.

Makes sense... am I right assuming the G model M3/4 would have an S58 engine?
