I like the new interior. Will likely be a big step up in materials quality.

The new exterior is a bit busy in places, but overall OK.

Just picked up one of the last F30 340i xDrive manuals to replace my previous F31. Bummer no more manual or wagon options, but I can understand why BMW dropped them.

Same as the X5. A sexy front end, nice profile, the rear end is uncharacteristically bland.

Just imagine pulling up to a G20 on the highway, from a few cars behind. Does this strike you as a BMW with a sexy stance and characteristic BMW look?

Nope. Looks like any of the many Japanese sedans you see. Infinity, lexus, acura. Take your pick.

IMO its better looking than f30, not sure what g22 will look like but still love E92.

My 2011 E90 328i was assembled at the BMW Rosslyn plant in South Africa. Car was impeccably built and finished inside and out.

It is no secret that SA Build quality is as good or better than Germany assembled Bimmers.

Unfortunately, Rosslyn plant will no longer manufacture the new generation of the G20 3-Series as production has switched I Believe to the X3 SUVs.

Side profile of f30 looks better. I can see the progression it definitely looks newer than the f30. I don't hate it by any means I think it's just going to take some time to adjust. Front end is nice I'm not a fan of the rear

Do all the comparisons you want. As a driver's car, an F30 with a 6mt will ALWAYS be superior to the G20.

The sterilization of BMW has been a long time coming....and its finally here. Im not suprised though....look at what the Germans have allowed their country to become.

It's kinda sad.

Yah, I think these visual comparison would have been more meaningful if the pics had not been doctored to make the G20 appear lower and wider relative to what it is being compared to.
Note that the G20 is supposed to be 1/2" taller than the F30, but the pic does not show that.

I did for 30 years. Been there done that. Stick shift is a relic and should stay in the 20th century where it belongs!.

Actually, if you read the very first post on this thread, it states that the height is "0.5 in taller than the F30" (see below).

Dimensions:
G20 length: 185.7 in (2.9 in longer than F30)
G20 width: 71.9 in (0.6 in wider than F30)
G20 height: 56.8 in (0.5 in taller than F30)
G20 wheelbase: 112.2 in (1.6 in longer than F30)
G20 front track: 62.3 in (1.7 in wider than F30)

Thanks for that, I knew me eyes are not that bad! It has been skewed to show the G20 as lower but the opposite is true!
