Anyone else? I was told we would have our X7 by mid Feb and now neither the bmw genius nor the dealer know what’s going on. They said it was last en route to Richmond via train from Kansas City. It was scheduled to arrive on Feb 28th in Richmond, no update since.

If you have the vin number you could've checked it through the rail carrier's website

The trains are stuck in Kansas waiting to be put on a train to California (maybe not the exact wording) according to my BMW NA rep. I asked because we have a quite a few that are late (supposed to be at Richmond on the 28th).

Here's the exact wording I received:

We have about a dozen railcars that have arrived at the hub but have not been handed over for unloading yet

That makes sense. So as of today, it has taken 7 weeks for my car to make the trip from SC to CA.

I just shipped (last week) another car from CA to DC in 3 days.

So, it’s not covid, supply chain, whatever other BS… It’s just a simple mistake?

It has to be or they know and something went wrong like a security/vandalism issue.

Honestly it sounds like that tanker fire that took out all those VAG vehicles.
