Alpina XB7 Super SUV Spied!

BIMMERPOST NEWS
Alpina XB7 Super SUV Spied!
71
COMMENTS

Have a look at the Alpina XB7! Currently, the fastest most powerful X7 available is the X7 M50i with 523 hp / 553 lb-ft, but Alpina is about to best that with its XB7 which could have approximately 600 hp and 590 lb-ft torque from its tuned twin-turbo V8, possibly matching the power output of the 2020 Alpina B7.

Per usual with Alpina models, besides a tuned engine and upgraded transmission, the XB7 will feature custom Alpina paint, bumpers, wheels, brakes, exhaust, suspension and interior.

Whether the XB7 comes stateside has not yet been announced, but let's hope that it becomes the first Alpina SUV to be available in North America.

Updated October 25, 2019 with Nurburgring testing video.

Alpina XB7 Spied!

becomes really hard to differentiate this suv after a certain point. not that special to me vs what you can buy from BMW, exterior trim wise.

this is for someone who wants exclusivity, period.

I wonder if they will get the kick tailgate functionality with the trailer hitch.

You might want to wait until the camo is off before making that statement.

I love BMW, full stop
This is one ugly and pointless machine however. You have to wonder why Alpina bother to waste their talents on it. I know, I know, some people like enormous SUVs. Just think what else you could buy with the same money though....

it was a joke because this will likely be $140k yet nothing else can compete with it in that price range

Sure but pretty much everyone considering an X7 wants the 3rows so they are looking for a huge SUV.

I'd love the Alpina tuned version if it was available when I ordered it.

I think it would be the first true V12 SUV(Rolls Royce doesn't count) definitely the only one ever offered with 3 rows.

there's a market for one. Meanwhile I'm here dreaming of a Alpina XB5, although I'd also like a V12 X5

Oh, there is a market for sure.
One of my local dealer sold 15 unit X7 50i in the week it was launched.

The salesperson said it is to replace the fleet of chartered Escalade.

And that was only the initial order. Lol.
