Can only be coded within first 10 hours of engine running.

Thanks.

Not sure about boosted drive mode.

Top speed is limited by first 10 hours.

Interesting, thank you for the info.

So there is no way to remove it? I am under assumption that some ECU tuning solutions can remove it.

Correct; some tuners can also remove part of ECU remapping.

Keep in mind that coding tools (like BimmerCode or E-Sys) do not deal with ECU/engine tuning (like BootMod3 or BPM). I have yet to find one tool that does both. If you want to change things like removing the top speed limiter, or anything else that relates to changing engine parameters, you will need to use an engine tuning tool - either having a tuner do it for you, or do it yourself with a tuning tool like BootMod3 for example.

Problems with Launcher Pro

It's a Panasonic ToughBook Cf-C2 running windows 8.1 Pro, Intel I5 Cpu 2.3GHz, 12GB Ram, x64 based-processor.

As far as E-Sys, I am running Version 3.33.4 with the latest PSdZ data files that tockenmaster provided. Launcher Pro is version 3.5.1.261.

E-sys starts up by itself, but when I try to start launcher pro, it just sits there and the computer does nothing. I don't even get the launcher pro startup splash.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

You should update to Windows 10.

Which .NET Framework is on system?

Carplay requires either FSC code or ConnectedDrive subscription. Some regions are restricted and not offered through ConnectedDrive.

I do not know anyone who can generate FSC codes for a IDrive 7.

It's a subscription service provided by BMW. Just go ahead and buy it.

So basically for iDrive 6 and older versions , people managed to create FSC codes to active Car play?

Something interesting is that Ive seen the new 3 series at my Bmw dealer shop with Carplay working fine. They told me that they dont know why that model arrived with it but not the G05. The configuration is pretty much the same.

In Colombia Bmw doesnt offer such thing. But Ive seen iDrive 6 systems with Carplay (previously unlocked). I guess in some time the activation code will be released for idrive 7

For production cars, Carplay is done via ConnectedDrive.

Carplay FSC codes were used for development purposes only. But, some smart people reverse engineered how to generate them and patch head units to accept them.

I know some that managed to develop solution to enable Video In Motion. But, they are still trying to figure out how to create FSC set for new hardware (HU_MGU).

It is all about what options are ordered. Unless, Carplay is not offered in your region; then, it would be strange for some cars to arrive with it.

So, I have found this under FesSportWorldMode1.

I assume this is related to the new overboost function in N64T3M3 engine. If accurate, this will increase power output to 490 hp.

In which module did you find that parameter? If it is the Engine ECU, I would advise that you don't mess with it. Based on my experience with coding (using E-Sys), and what I have learned from other coders with a lot more experience than me, you don't use E-Sys to change any parameters in the Engine ECU - it could cause problems. Engine ECU parameter changes are reserved for engine tuning software tools.

If I had to speculate, in order to activate this overboost function, the help of someone experienced with tuning this engine may be necessary.

That's in BDC if I remember. I thing I got an error when trying it. Probably requires other settings.

Yeah, one thing I learned when I started coding my F80 is that typically, several parameters are interdependent on other parameters across multiple modules in order to turn on a new feature. Typically, one parameter is tied to a display (i.e. showing you a new option in an iDrive menu or a dash light, etc) and another parameter is actually necessary to "turn on" the feature.

A good example of this is turning on rear fogs in the F3x/F8x (and I am sure the X7 has rear fogs hidden in there too....).

I agreed and I haven't touched this yet.

The overboost function, according to engine manual, is only available during launch control. So I assume this is basically enabling it in daily driving.

I don't plan to do any changes to engine control unit via ESYS.

I believe that is related to the braking mode options found on the M8.

Try with speedometer correction enabled. If unsuccessful, there is an ISTA function to re-adapt the display sweep range-to-indication.

Could you point me to where that is in ISTA?
