Absolutely

Pretty much and it's got a lot of flexibility. I had my entire family in it this morning cruising around in comfort mode and then tore up the roads headed to the mountains in sport+. It has a very dynamic personality and that's what I love about it.

I completely agree. People are hysterical until they see and drive one.

I couldn't agree more. Maybe in Europe you might have some challenges, but here in the states I don't have issues. BMW's parking technology is solid; I have smaller garage built in the 20's and have no issues parking the X7 in the right space with all kinds of obstacles around.

I park all my cars in the back of the lot near no one else so that’s a moot point for me. It doesn’t matter if it’s 100 degrees or -20 I always try to avoid dings.

Yes, I think it's 'frame of mind' - it's not a tossable sports car and as a bigger X5, it's just too big - but as a 7 series luxo barge SUV, it's a hit

The 2nd row leg room is awesome - and it's a livable 3rd row - you don't have to look at the outside when you're driving it!

I don't know where we go from here...all these new cars are getting better in terms of comfort, speed, numbness and no feedback. The result is that you don't feel any speed.
Highway speed limits are not increasing and it's really frustrating to drive, I'm glad I'm not upgrading any time soon.

I think you've got a legitimate point. This car motors along with such agility and speed. I'm often 20-25 mph above what I thought I was traveling.

It is a very nice SUV but its tad too big for our use and the price in my country is fucking crazy. USD207k for Xdrive 40i. LOL...

I dont even dare to imagine the price for M50i if someone were to personally import.

If you need a large SUV its fantastic, quiet, soft ride, easy to drive and all the usual BMW amenities in a 7 series. My sister has this exact vehicle and we have a X5 50i Msport and X5M. If we need a large SUV I would have replaced my B7 with a XB7.

Plus you get extra exercise...a few more steps in

The video on acceleration and deceleration is crazy for such a large vehicle That's going to make me start checking on my M50i build which I am trying to ignore!

... that's another thing that perplexed my wife; she caught me at 2am one morning checking my dots.

Topic for another thread, but I agree completely. It's fine in an X7 or 7-series, but it's disheartening to see how all the other models have changed drastically in less than a decade.

The E70 was the perfect SUV in my opinion. Visceral and engaging to drive while still being comfortable enough not to beat you up. Steering may have been too heavy for most, but they didn't have to make it Lexus/Mercedes light in the F15 and G05!

It was good to read why people like SUVs and especially BMWs. I'm not a fan of SUVs. They jut too tall and bulky big for me. SUVs are trucks visually. I know they are the most popular vehicle type to buy or lease now a days. Power to the people, I guess? I'd much rather see BMW make M5C Estate.

IMHO, Porsche's Cayenne and Macan look and perform like cars. I wouldn't buy one those either

Sorry, just driving my small but not as light as I wanted M2C.
