graduations on Oil level scale

why the hell didnt bmw graduate the scale between min and max on the on the oil level gauge. Good news...mine doesnt seem to be moving...bad news is im constantly getting honked at counting f'ing pixels on the display.

better yet, why dont they just give you a number in the middle of the bar graph that indicates level.

Mine didn't budge until it was down 1/4 quart and then it changed overnight.

So I get the impression it increments in 1/4 quart intervals.

At least you can check the oil from inside the car on a wintery or rainy day.

I think I've become obsessed with mine.....check it daily.
