just got complimented on 9 y.o. rims

Must have been a nice design by ASA....I got these rims for my snows in 2008, and haven't gotten around to taking my snows off yet. Back in the day the dealer valets use to comment how sweet my rims are. Funny, they cost $79 each back then!!

These are not mine, but they look like this....

someone complimented those rims?

I mean.. they're not bad winters.. thats about it lol... maybe they look nice on your car? I do like the finish on them though. I would probably paint the lip gloss black as well unless your car is silver.

Haha, there is no accounting for taste, right? I thought the same thing. I could see them as being good winter wheels (easy to clean, decently sporty looking) but to me it looks like something that would be more at home on a Japanese car. I guess I would have to see them on the car before passing final judgement.

Still, always nice to get a compliment. I got one on my stock wheels yesterday, which I thought was pretty funny. I was like "Thanks but they're stock." The guy was like "I know, I just like them." Hahah.

haha I don't think they look that great, but no matter what car I tend to prefer some flavor of OEM....I love my 189's, thought they were the greatest thing since sliced bread....until sedans got them too (hahahahaha what a snob)...

The other downside on these rims is they show the entire rotor and caliper (my rotors are new)....calipers look a bit tired with the rust on the clip etc....

Totally true, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, maybe they look aggressive? dunno....

Good stuff! I always rock used OEM wheels of some sort off of ebay for winter. $400 for four, not bad!

My E90 is 9 years old. I get compliments at the car wash. People can't believe it's that old. When you take care of something, it will always look good. My E90 is aging well.
