BMW M2 Competition Seen Live in Person (Photos, Exhaust Video and Impressions)
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com As for seats just like in the F80/2 the left thigh bolster digs into the bottom of my thigh. Why? Because my left leg sits on top of that very rigid bolster in order to rest on the dead pedal and also to operate clutch. Pretty seats but not for me. I'm going to go out on a limb and declare the 2016-17 cars the most desirable. I didn't love the LCI model but still better than this Comp. I'm holding onto my 2017 with glorious N55 for as long as I can. Video of exhaust! Photos |

Wow. Thanks for posting this. I love the seats. Not sure if they’d be comfortable though. Guess it didn’t have a window sticker, huh?

Had this exact same problem and discussion in the F80 threads a couple of years ago. A lot of guys were in agreement about those thigh bolsters. This isn't new information or an isolated observation, it's a known entity on the F80/2 and now the problem has migrated to the M2 Comp. I'm as statically average as it gets, 5'10" and 160 lbs.

The new seat looks nice in your photo! Wish you had taken a few more shots.
Hopefully I'll get to see them in person soon and can decided if I want to order a set. |

Not keen on the Kidney grills - looks a bit yuk if I'm honest, but it almost looks like a one piece grill rather than the two grills. Not keen on the pointy corners either, I like the smoother rounder shaped ones (not that I'm fussy).
Seats look great but I suspect being built like your average heavy weight wrestler they wouldnt be much good for me, the LCI seats are tight Not sure about the red stop start button, cant make my mind up, keep looking at the other thread and totally undecided. |

„Sounds like shitt“. Is this your judgement when they just started the cold motor or after everything was warmed up properly?

No headlight cleaners, uncomfortable seats, Kia Grille, Bad exhaust note? So what my "old" M2 has 40 less HP, big whoop.

Might be the angle/lighting, but I'm not digging the front in this picture. Can't wait to see and hear in person though.

As for the red start button and maybe I'm in the minority but I feel the red button looks a little Fisher Price in the interior. Okay maybe in an S2000 but looks out of place in luxury sports car. I like the rest of the car though including HS. If there was plenty of availability and the price was closer to M2 pricing I would happily have one in my garage. |

Not surprised on your thoughts re: the sound - the S55 needs to be warm in order to sound as good as it can. Once warm, it's a sound that is polarizing for sure, but much better no matter what you think.
You could always load it on YouTube and attach a link in the thread....

Ugh from the low front on view those huge grills that are connected in the middle and the slats in the bottom of the leading edge of the bumper are so bad. Are the seats still Dakota leather? If so that's frustrating. I wish I could pay BMW 5% or whatever the increase is to just drop a new S55 in my 2017.

Could care less what it sounds like after a cold start and while idling. We need to hear it in comfort, sport and sport+ at WOT. Unfortunately that's not going to happen for a while, not until reviews start coming out. Probably around SOP. Thanks for the pics OP, if you have more please post.

Hmm....I just noticed this; Park Distance Control in the front now as well as the rear.
I really dislike the pock marks that come with PDC (none on my M2, have them on my M3). I like it less that they're on the front now as well. I guess for folks that love this feature that could be a plus, but not me.
