Did My Car Go Into Limp Mode?

While driving out of my garage, a bunch of lights lit up and the red line dropped down to 5k. After shutting the car off and starting it up again, it went back to normal. Have any of you dealt with this issue before? Thank you in advance.

Yes, that's a limp-home mode. Pull the codes and see what happened.

This is the only code I pulled (P0025). This isn't related to a throtttle acuator is it? From what I've seen on this forum, it seems like throttle actuators throw a laundry list of codes.

I would keep driving and see if it comes back.

My guess is camshaft position sensor. Cheap and easy fix. Swap them around and see if the code changes (I'm guessing the 0025 is for one bank and another code i.e. 0024 or 0026 would be for the other bank)

Was doing some searching on this code (got it on my X5M), wanted to see what your results were? did you end up swapping the sensor or was it something else?
