Yep, it’s US spec. - they decode the anti dazzle headlights, and I believe it’s limited to 130MPH. - which limits I would have certainly tested. We have to choose to install EU maps, and then pay to put the US maps upon return.

Still no taxes while overseas, so that’s certainly a chunk of change saved, but some states in the US allow tax free title/register if you are a resident living out of state with the military. So I can get that on new car purchases even in the US.

Anyway, we did Tanzanite with Coffee interior. I couldn’t convince my wife to go Tartufo and could not find any dealers with examples of tartufo. But she was skeptical about going Tanzanite, so we made a good compromise. Not seeing many go with the coffee interior though.I also ended up with a 21” set of Nokian R3 winter tires on TSW wheels from discount tire. If they don’t have in stock a wheel from a manufacturer they deal with, they will try and custom order.
Very cool. When you redeliver back stateside, it will be a used car at that point, and you should avoid most/all taxes, wherever you go. I never paid any taxes on any of my 4 Bimmers I bought through Pentagon Car Sales and brought back to the US. Maybe a $30 import fee or something trivial.

Having to go with EU maps and then buy US maps when you come home is pretty normal too.

You'll love TBII. One of the most beautiful paints. I was tempted to switch mine to that.

I would have to say no incentives as I really didn't have any I qualified for. No Military, loyalty or financing.

In this case I'd say it's definitely not bad. Why didn't you get the financing 2500 rebate? Seems like free money unless you don't want to take a loan?

That is a good deal. I am looking at one very similar in price. I am not sure what other incentives there are besides the BMW $1,500 Loyalty at this point. If they give the car for $8K off. that would be great. any advise is greatly appreciated.

Did the $2500 finance incentive went away? I don't see it in the latest offer anymore.

So if the $2500 incentive is gone in June, will the dealer still honor it since I ordered it in April?

Edit: at lease it's still there right now "$2,500 APR Credit is a credit against the MSRP of the vehicle purchased. APR Credit and Loyalty/Conquest Certificate available for eligible BMW Financial Services customer only. All credits valid through June 01, 2021. Credits may be combined with other offers unless otherwise stated. Qualified rate lock applicants must take delivery within 60 days of initial lock. "

My dealer told me when I placed the order with them that whatever offer you were eligible at that time will be locked in. So you should be okay is my guess.

financing rebate $3500?

Talked to a local dealer, he quoted $3500 as financing rebate in the estimate for preordering the X7.
Not sure how this works, he said I must finance through BMW financing in order to receive this money.
My question is:
I also saw another dealer's website listed X7 at 1.9% for 60 months. Can I get BOTH benefit at the same time? Or it is a tradeoff that i have to pay much higher interest rate if receiving that $3500?
If so, generally what rate BMW charge for an excellent credit borrower?
BTW, the dealer only gave a little less than $6000 discount...

Thanks

The current BMW FS incentive is 1.9% for 60 months on excellent credit. Once you finance with them, the $2500 credit will automatically apply. You will not need to pay higher interest on excellent credit to get the $2500 rebate. The $3500 includes $2500 for financing with BMW FS and $1000 as loyalty credit

interesting, the dealer listed $3500 and my loyalty $1000 separately (total $4500)
where can I see the $2500 or $3500 written on BMW website?
so confusing, is it too good to be true that I'm getting $4500 total?

OK, so when leasing and having a car built....a lot of times residuals/incentives/MF will change from one month to the next.

I just put my order in last week....probably won't actually take delivery until late July.

I think the residual on the X7 40i (36 months/10k miles) is 54% and the MF is .000123. Incentives are $1,000 loyalty only.

So what if in June the residual goes to 55% and the MF/incentives stay the same.....and then in July, the residual goes back down to 54% but the incentives go to $3k and the MF is lowered.

Can I take the most favorable combination of all (meaning MF, residual, and incentives).....which would be the 55% from June residual, $3k incentives from July, and lower MF from July?

Or am I limited to taking either 1) whatever the numbers were when the deal was signed or 2) whatever the numbers are when the car is delivered to me?

Unfortunately you can't mix-n-match rates and incentives.

You can lock in the rates and incentives for that month when you order your X7 and the lock is good for 60 days (East coast) or 90 days (West coast) When it arrives and the rates are more favorable, you can finalize your lease using that month's better rates and incentives - which is what I did on my MY20 G05 back in winter 2019 pre-COVID (residual was down 2% in Sep and was 2% up in Dec). Of course if it's worse then you don't have to bring it up, LOL.

Solid, thanks for clarifying brother. I just know the X7 lost 1 percent of residual, had the MF raised, and I think dropped incentives for leasing to basically nothing just in the last 2-3 months alone (obviously due to the shortage). It's definitely a rare time to be buying right now....things are very fluid.

As long as you end up with a car you're happy with and you feel is worth it, you're good. Saving a couple hundred a month here or there shouldn't make a difference for anyone buying a car in this price range, and it's certainly not worth feeling bad about or stressing over.

I believe the APR credit for finance is now $2,000 and $1,000 loyalty for June (X5 and X7).

This is the primary reason we recently decided to buy. Unless things get better soon, I don't see the X7 depreciating by 48+% in 3 yrs. Of course, I lose out on tax, but I can sell it when I want and not worry about the exactness of a 36month term.

Congrats. Too soon to know for sure. 2022 won't start production until August, for September deliveries. But all indications right now unfortunately only point to continued part shortages and minimal discounts.
