#591 for me. Crazy. That's always been my favorite number. I wore number 591 in football, baseball and basketball all through school.

I asked myself the same question many times before I posted this. Here is why I finally trusted it.
We know the first US Production VIN is accurate and we know the last US Production VIN is accurate. Metak got a list of all the Canadian VINS and plugged them in. Once he did that and I added the counter, the numbers added up and matched what we were told by BMW (740 US and 220 Canada). Honestly, I didn't expect this to work, but to my surprise it did. I did see a post about someone claiming that one of the US-PRESS cars was actually a customer car, but in the end, it would just be swapping around one of the first 10 US cars and wouldn't affect anyone's number past that. At this point I am pretty confident that this is correct and Metak deserves all the credit. All I did was plug in a simple formula in the spreadsheet.
