Cool. I'll be waiting patiently

Please update us as well how it holds up behind the seat and is it secure? Lastly, the fold/s it makes when seats are up..

This works...just bend them and you're good to go...all in all i think was more suited to just keeping the back seats down all the time

Thanks for sharing. That just sucks as I was really looking forward to purchase this.

Do you plan to keep it or considered to apply industrial strength velcro tape like how Canvas back does it?

I may just go the OEM rear cargo mat, with canvasback underneath it.

No cargo room with all the seats up with those mats lol.

But out of all the options, this one looks the best especially with the third row seat down.

It would be perfect then for you, especially for the price paid.

I think the solution to this is by cutting the top two pieces from the bottom piece and use velcro to secure the top pieces to the back of 3rd row seats. When 3rd row seats go up, the bottom portion will just bend slightly and either slide under or above the bottom piece.

I'm thinking about two hooks on straps glued to the liner (afterall, 3rd row has holes for this use). It will keep it in place and i don't need to change integrity of the liner.

salfeet84 Could you please post few images how it looks like bent toward to 3rd row?

You are right. We don't need to cut it. I am going to use a lot of velcro. secure the top 2 pieces and the bottom piece to the carpet. Leave the middle section (where the horizontal lines are) without velcro. When lifting the 3rd row, the middle section will just curve up a little since it is not taped to the back. VW uses a similar trunk liner system on the SUV. It works great.

Hi

sorry to report that the VELCRO idea will not work. Turn out the backing of 3rd row seats have two separate pieces. As the seat folds up, bottom portion moves up, so you cannot tape/velcro the liner to the 3rd row seat backings. The only other way is like the other member suggested, taping two hooks to the liner and hook on to the child seat pins. Unlike soft canvas liner, this will cause the liner to curve up near the bottom, which is no ideal...
I think the best option is to go with the Canvas liner others have shown. I am going to keep this one since I rarely fold up the 3rd row seats and it is only $65.

Looking for an option that will contain sand in the summer and melting snow in the winter. I love the flexibility of the canvas cover to work with the third row up or down, but does it help contain and remove sand/water like a rubber tray mat does?

Has anyone purchased the loading mat (part #51472407204)? Looking for some pictures of what it looks like in the X7. I'm wondering how much of the cargo area it covers when the 3rd row is down.

Canvasback

I have had Canvasback in my prior 3 SUVs and given the few options for the X7 I did the same again. All the pieces are well made and cut perfectly to size. I even stepped it up with deviated stitching to match my Tartufo brown leather and also added the 24" bumper flap. Piece of mind protection.

I have used canvasback for all my SUVs. Currently, my x3 one gets delivered tomorrow. My wife's Atlas has three-row seats and it folds with no issues. There is no bunching up for anything.

I had a nice looking plastic one for my wife's MB GLS that was the same setup as the pics above. Velcro worked and stayed stuck to the back of the seats. The only problem was getting it to stick to the plastic liner. They always came off. I like the canvas idea

Has anyone tried this product as far as providing protection for third row armrest area? It seems maybe a viable solution, even if just temporary during special occasions to help cover the exposed leather and wood trims.
