We spoke last week and he mentioned it may be due to a missing part and hopefully it would deliver within the week. But now I'm guessing that was more of a canned response. I'm going to call back today and see if the can get better visibility into the situation.

I hope so. So far 24 hours in QC and it doesn't look good. I don't think I'll have mine this week

Is there anyone here that was more than 48 hrs in QC and released from QC this week?

my guess is a component supply issue. something common, not necessarily related to a specific option, and something shared with the X5 as they are seeing cars stuck in QC

the earlier software issue was fixed, mine was fixed at the dealer, so its something physical, most likely a shortage of some kind.

Yes, was in QC 8/1-8/9. Dispatched on 8/9, arriving at dealer (Chicago Perillo) today per my SA, will pick up this weekend.

Yeah, i called the Genius line a bit ago and he stated that it was most likely a small component and that he thinks it'd likely flip out in the next few days. Says its very rare to sit in QC for 'weeks'

but its disheartening seeing others after glide right through. itd almost be better not to know

Mine has been in Quality Check since July 30 - call the dealer and all they can add is that it is built - The Genius confirmed that the X7 is in Quality Check but added zero additional information. Hard to believe that with all the technology that is available today that this is what BMW provides - not sure the term "Genius" is very accurate description.

Prod date 8/11. Yesterday (8/10) was status 153. This morning, flipped to 155, Quality Check.

Starting the timer......(or should I start the sundial/calendar?)

13 days and counting. SA said she’s going to call her regional manager today but like the rest of you I doubt much will be gleaned from that. She’s not really concerned - which is somewhat helpful.
