As has been well discussed - Our beloved X7 machines currently have a horrible iDrive7 connected experience. One of the most frustrating occurrences is when it can’t find your phone when adding (or re-adding). I’ve discovered that when this happens and the iDrive is searching..searching.. that simply going into phone settings>Bluetooth will instantly cause it to be discovered.

Of course you need your WiFi & BT on, but I’ve found the moment you open (click on) BT that the otherwise invisible phone suddenly appears. Ymmv.
