My first BMW

Traded my wife's '15 Acura TLX Adv for the 2018 BMW G30 540i. She has decided to use our Acura RLX SH-awd as her daily driver so I now operate the BMW. Imperial Blue Metallic with Cognac Dakota leather. Has the HiFi sound system so I ordered the Bavsound Stage One and Ghost subs. Should I consider the Revenant amp upgrade, too?

Beautiful G30! Love the rims. Someone paid a pretty penny for those AFAIK those never came stock.

How do you like the car so far vs the RLX?

I went from a 2016 Accord V6 Touring to my 2017 540i. I missed the feel of BMW's too much to continue with the accord. I know I'm giving up reliability and TOC but life is short!

Not sure about the sound system upgrade, but what I've heard on the difference between my wife's G05 HK vs the B&W on my G30er, I'd do the upgrade as the Hifi is even worse. If sound is important to you, I'd upgrade both the amp and the speakers.

Edit: Seeing you're coming from a RLX with either Krell or ELS, you're going to want to upgrade...

The rims/tires were a 669M upgrade - already on the car in the showroom. Yes, my RLX Hybrid has the Krell system and is very nice for an OEM application. There are items I like about the RLX vs the BMW, like leather quality and trim quality. But, the high speed handling of the 540i is phenomenal. Still getting to know the car. And, I did order the amp upgrade!

The handling on 540i is much better than my accord could do even with the 19's. It's getting about the same gas mileage to boot. Not Nappa leather, the base leather which to me seems like the 1970's Chrsyler Corinthian Leather (vinyl)

He said Cognac Dakota. I love the Cognac color but the Dakota is base leather and only on the seating areas. The rest is imitation leather. I have Merino which is very nice but pricey.
I chose between B&W or Marino. I like my choice but the audio upgrade is really nice. Once you open the sunroof all the stereos sound the same. Lol

looks great! I just ordered a 540i with imperial blue over cognac--hoped it would look good and indeed it looks amazing on your car
