Looks great, although I do wish the rims were a brighter alloy finish, the gray doesn't work well with the chrome in my opinion, may need to see it with shadowline, also wish they would offer Alpina Green and Blue as exterior options.

Alpina Green and Blue would look so nice on the X7.

Would have been more ideal if the entire front fascia (bumper cover) was new and more integrated to look like 1 piece with a more sporty design. At that price point would have been more exclusive. Right now, it looks like stuck on a lower trim on the normal version.

It looks great in white, not so sure about the black. Should look awesome in Tanzanite blue.

I think its the wheels, the gray clashes with the black and chrome, I wonder what it would look like with the optional silver/alloy 21' 5-spoke rims.

Agree. I suspect they used that bumper because of the flat bottom and made it easy to attach a chin spoiler to.
It was a odd way to go for a ALPINA factory built car with that chin spoiler and chrome???

Perhaps I am biased as I have the M50i, but I like the front bumper look of M50i more than Alpina, i guess it is up to personal taste.

Cool. But I'm still disappointed Alpina made it based on the Luxury model. Should be based on the Sport.

Bumper looks like an afterthought or cheap Auto Zone stick on.

Ouch. I like what ALPINA did with the front and rear bumpers of the XB7. I think it falls short on the interior. If US buyers could option the lavalina leather it would better distinguish the XB7 from the regular X7's on the road.

Lavalina leather and Merino leather are tanned and dyed very similar. These are top shelf grade leathers. Lavalina stresses “German cows” if that makes a difference?? It is more of a branding than anything from ALPINA. Remember ALPINA is making these on the same line as a package with the other models so supply with parts has to be kept to a minimum. I am sure ALPINA has very carefully worked out the SC manufacturing procedure.
I am sure our new ALPINA owners will be pleased.

I do not wish to argue with you but IMO the Lavalina interior looks higher end than the Merino leather. Take a look at some of the videos posted on this form of the XB7 with lavalina leather. The seat backs are covered in leather and the second row cupholder is covered in leather when the captains chairs are optioned. There's more to it than just the type of leather. If it were available to US buyers I'm guessing it would be a $10,000+ option.

Certainly ALPINA does more custom coach work options. It’s a bespoke interior when ordered so.

Just as a background to owning Lavalina leather as it requires special care and cleaning. I have ran into it at a concourse event I was competing in and was involved in teaching a class that day where the topic came up from a owner.
PH balanced soap and very clean/pure water is what is required. You don’t full around with average leather products. The pores are very open so it absorbs clothing dyes very easy so you have to stay on top of Lavalina leather cleaning.

Ditto and no offense to Alpina owners, but I'm just not feeling it. Love the look of my M50i.

I agree that it would make a significant difference if Alpina would be able to bring Lavalina leather to the USA
