I thought Alpina used their own badge instead of the BMW roundel (?)

On parts that they manufacture or modify, they use their logo or roundel. For example, the steering wheel airbag (which is usually trimmed in leather on the newer cars, on leather seats that are lavalina leather (mostly in Europe). Wheels have Alpina logos as they are custom for Alpina. But outside/Body logos have been BMW logos for the longest time.

Helooo, Who said? I installed custom made Alpina badges on my ALPINA XB7. My choice, and I don't care. Would never install it on stock BMW.

To be fair, you do have an alpina so i dont know why it would be an issue in the first place

Yes... Rear one you could buy aftermarket, front one was whole project, ordered custom labels and paid to wrap it over original one..

And, I installed racechip XLR and there is such a difference, you won't believe it.
